Anyone been listening to this new group the New Conservatives.

They want to restrict immigration in the care sector, stop overseas students bringing family over with them and impose a minimum salary of £38k for anyone employing from overseas.

How are they going to make this utter bollocks government policy?

So they’ve decided that things aren’t *quite* bad enough just yet…

International students on a UK student visa won’t be able to bring family over on that visa from Jan 2024.

Just from watching the video I can't see what 'utter bollocks' or 'not quite bad enough' means.

£38k is too high but we should be paying foreign workers more if we can't fill the positions locally.

Students shouldn't be able to bring families unless they can fully support themselves.

I don't know what the care sector restrictions are.

I'm sure I'll be educated bur that's my thoughts, purely from the video.

Isn’t it interesting that people are very quick to pounce on the headline and not look a little deeper?

I can't really day that tbf because I have looked no further than the video. However, if those opinions are solely from the video then I have no idea what they were watching.

The figure of 60,000 thousand migrants being sent back in 2009 to 2010 and now less than 3000 a year was interesting. Unfortunately Tom Hunt disappeared and we never got a answer.

It would appear that the lawyer wasn't just talking about asylum seekers. The MP kept saying illegal immigrants so I assume he's talking about economic migrants claiming asylum.

"Within the total number of persons removed or departing voluntarily in 2010, there were

9,850 persons (including dependants) who had claimed asylum (15 per cent lower than

in 2009) and 47,240 non-asylum cases (15 per cent lower than in 2009)."

Don't know because Tom Hunt never came back. Wouldn't the only way to know if they are economic migrants or asylum seekers be to process them and return the ones who fail.

Absolutely. As I said, I assume that's who he was talking about.

Manchester

I’ve got a bit of land to put up a workhouse if that helps to take us back even further? Always willing to do my bit for yesteryear.

These New Conservatives must be avid historians and I’m sure they will be delighted with all the historical re-enactments of suffering amongst those stinking offensive poor becoming real.

Fuck Bob Cratchit and if Tiny Tim can’t pass the disability test he can start up those chimneys the lazy little scrounger.
