But we'd be relying on them to trigger it, wouldn't we
? Surely they'll hold out until they think they have some chance of retaining power, perhaps almost until the last minute |

"Fabtastic said not by Xmas and he's the man in the know on these things
On the back of the govt challenge, which is ridiculous,I say fuck 'em. It's pathetic "
The government challenge is to set a president in Law.
It will be the first cast to prove if what you say on WhatsApp is evidence. Even if said in private?
And set out when a private conversation on WhatsApp between 2 people becomes not private.
We had a group chat as work colleagues and some one said something negative about another colleague and they screenshot the comment and ended up in a disaplinary over it. As HR said it was not appropriate on a group work chat even though it was on a personal device. So watch this space. |

Unlikely - what have they got to gain by calling one? They know they’ll likely be turfed out, so they’ll cling on as long as possible. |

They will be re-elected for sure.
But I don't know why a GE would be called. They're no worse than they have been. |

It only takes a massive public backlash, loss of credibility and a few decent Conservative MP’s who, in the national interest, would support a vote of no confidence in the Government.
There comes a time that if the government cannot function because it is the daily news story then something has to give.
Unless Sunak backs down over this Judicial Review there will possibly start to be a surge of public backlash against him and it is just inconceivable that he could be replaced with yet another “unelected” PM. I doubt that the country would stand for that. Compliant and malleable as we are, I really doubt that another Tory Leadership contest could fly. |
