The Republicans are bringing in crazy laws in the Southern States right now.
Tennessee have made it illegal to do drag in a public place. Which could be intercepted to allow the arrest of anyone wearing the clothes/presenting as other than the gender they are born with.
Then the Democrats have fucked up some cities that have made them practically unlivable. Portland, Oregon I'm looking at you. What a state that city is in.
Still, best country in the world eh. USA! USA!! |

"Absolutely terrifying stuff from our friends in the US.
Imagine calling yourself "pro life" yet proposing legislation to enable women who have abortions to be executed." what is even more strange is the Carolinas and Florida have had the biggest influx of people moving there. I guess they doing something right. |

I'm not into any low level detail of people movement in the US, but it does seem there has become a very strong line drawn in the sand post covid and the LA riots.
Step this way if you are X and step this way if you are Y.
It is like a battlefield is being drawn up.
I could be wrong though |

The freedom to be executed for having an abortion doesn't seem very appealing to me.

"Lol different states is like going to entirely different countries."
I was listening to a podcast that mentioned Texas was a country in 1836, it then became the 28th state of the union in 1845.

If contraception failed, I can imagine lawsuits to cover the costs for the life of the person. I know that seems a little random, but putting alternative pressures into the pot could sway outcomes,
especially if money and accountability becomes front and centre |

The interesting thing about the South Carolina situation is that it isn’t the entire Republican Party in the state driving this issue… it’s the men of the South Carolina Republican Party!
In the legislature when they were discussing the abortion issue… and banning it it was the women of the party who said “well obviously there are going to be exceptions for SA, health of the mother ect” to which the men argued… erm… no exceptions!!!
And every single man voted against the carve out……
It’s the men driving this particular bus…. |

The majority have always been red states. Getting angry over anything they do living somewhere else solves nothing. It's up to them to vote them out. |
