"I believe if you work hard u shouldn’t have all your money taxed taxed taxed… " And who is taxing it? Because it sure as shit isn’t Sharon down the road is it
| |||
"No I didn’t know 40% claimed... I was just brought up to work hard and if u need more money u work harder... That’s life " Then you should maybe do a little research into it before you go calling everyone who claims benefits scum
| |||
| |||
| |||
"I don't claim any benefits but I did once when I had to, being a young single mum. Go have an angry wank OP " He’ll be getting his private jet back to mars soon
"The sick and disabled are lazy. Yes indeed. With the lack of NHS interventions in very serious cases, people have found it harder and harder to remain in work. I have pushed my physical capacity and mental health to the absolute max to stay working FT, despite my disability, which is getting worse. My spine is a car crash. I have hip dysplasia. Deformed knee. Hypermobile hips, knees, shoulders and elbows. I have adenomyosis, endometriosis and triple pelvic organ prolapse. If I could sustain life for my family on benefits, I probably would at this point. But I can't, so I keep forcing myself to keep trucking. I get zero. Nil. Nada help financially with relation to my disability. I pay for my own mobility equipment. I have to pay for adaptations to my house, including an essential ramp to get in and out (but have to wait 30wks min just to be assessed). Give it a try for a week and come back to me. I live in perpetual and continual pain. Every. Single. Fucking. Day. I am 37. " PS: this is aimed at the OP! I was bashing the keys too quickly

"I really should not look into this or read it as it just pushes my buttons...as a single English male with no kids you just get f#cked in the ass royale...you go down social and get f#ck all..f#ck all help in the energy rip off.. I’ve got a budget idea!? Why don’t you lazy bums go get a job.. Oh yeah it’s easier to be a parasite on the hard workers and pensioners... Churn out more kids and get the decent people who work to have a better life and pay there bills to pay for you... Us workers are the ones with mental health issues going to work to have our wages taken to pay for the lazy scum of society.. We must be of our heads..." Single, English male with no kids? It's them bloody couples, the Welsh, the women and those with kids who took all your money!
"I believe if you work hard u shouldn’t have all your money taxed taxed taxed.. Some people work 80hrs plus a wk for 20yrs So I’m not jealous of what they have... Good luck to them... Least the scum can get a bigger tv.. More tattoos Fake tan And their nails done... I’m off to Rwanda Hahaha " If you honestly think you could survive on benefits OP then go for it. Really. Give it a try. Or just stop reading the kind of media that makes you think all benefit claimants are living the life of luxury. Jeez. The Tories have done a first class job with their smoke and mirrors and persuading people that the root cause of all evil in this country lies firmly at the feet of benefit claimants and immigrants. Thank fuck nobody actually looks too closely at the country's accounts and sees where the money has really been going, eh..... A

"I'm too tired for this post, but it's depressing. Any shred of empathy, OP? Let's just scrap the safety net of the welfare state sand reinstate the work house! That'll learn those scroungers. " Will the modern workhouse be wheelchair accessible, please? Asking for a friend. And if the could offer porridge rather than gruel, I'm probably up for it now

And there'll be no stupid H&S or discrimination rules either - it'll be the Daily Mail's wet dream writ large.

I'm intrigued which bit of the budget has pressed your buttons so. As you mention no kids Id guess the child care. But that's to get people into work.
"Oh dear. Have you tried having a banana and sitting outside for a bit?"

But you missed out parents morning abut child care costs. Surly like most things in life if you can't afford it / them don't have them.
"You see, this opinion really does make me uneasy. I actually feel sympathy and frustration for people that speak like that, but my most overwhelming thoughts are this great deal of pessimism when i hear it, for the fact this 'opinion' is so widely spread and accepted as an actual reality, many do state it as this undeniable fact of why the UK debt to gdp is so high (currently as high as it has ever been since ww2). Yet this just is statistically not the case. It just dilutes the truth, and only fuels more infighting, negativity and is counterproductive. It's much easier to compare your own situation with that of a tax dodger, long term unemployed, benefits cheat etc. because you can easily find yourself amongst such individuals in everyday life. ***Don't misquote in thinking I'm saying everyone on benefits/unemployed is a scoundrel***. Whereas other immoral, lazy, criminal individuals that have high profile jobs and influence aren't as relatable, but definitely exist and are having huge an impact also. The point I'm getting at though isn't that necessarily. I think blaming one group or certain individuals is useless as I genuinely don't see that is the issue or cause, much more the effect that the balance of fairness seems so stacked against. It is much rather a chronic failure of many, not just politicians, to plan and invest enough resources for the future. In society, everything is done as a reaction I find, firefighting and plugging gaps has consequently lead everyone to turn to looking for people to blame. That is why it makes me cynical, I don't see that changing so soon. I would suggest though to anyone who does feel strongly that vast numbers that are illegitimately siphoning money through benefits etc., that they should do something about it by the only means I know of and join up in government and councils and make your voice heard. " Not that many years ago, the state of the country as it is now would have had people protesting in their ten of thousands. Think back to the Poll Tax, its financial impact on people was going to be negligible compared to what people are paying out now. The Conservative Government has realised that fomenting culture wars keeps people divided about things that don’t matter to keep them distracted from the things that do matter. If they have convinced you that immigrants, or trans people, or Black Lives Matter, or political correctness is wrong, why would you then protest against that same Government for their disastrous policies that have made you poorer? The OP has basically been groomed into thinking that other people are to blame for the situation that he finds himself in. It’s true other people are to blame, but it is not the people he is blaming who are responsible for the situation he finds himself in, it’s the Millionaires and billionaires who hold high office in Whitehall who are collapsing living standards for ordinary people. When we start to think of other ordinary people as “one of them” rather than “one of us,” we need to pause and remember that ALL ordinary people have more in common with each other than the people in Whitehall who appear to view us all with utter contempt.

So what do you call "one of us" We both work full time but have a good in come. What is the devide between "them and us"

Perhaps you should focus your ire on those that deserve it. Perhaps look where most of the money is lost from the economy (clue: it’s not the poor, those on benefits or migrants) …
" Us workers are the ones with mental health issues going to work" Till those issues become so debilitating, you can't go to work.... is that the point at which you become scum?
" Us workers are the ones with mental health issues going to work Till those issues become so debilitating, you can't go to work.... is that the point at which you become scum?" No you work you way up. Like first your a lazy bum, then a thief and finally scum. I think that's what the OP is saying.
" ... Thank fuck nobody actually looks too closely at the country's accounts and sees where the money has really been going, eh..... A" I see where it has gone every time I hit the road. In the coffers of French and German car manufacturers.
