Why do politicians share so much on Whatsapp?

That's not the problem. The problem is doing group chats there or giving the stuff to mates. We've seen so many leaks as a result by now. |

Exactly. Leaks aren't the same as hacks. WhatsApp isn't the problem, it's the people who they're sharing it with.

Can’t help but think that there will be a lot more of this to come out - if nothing else because of Hancock’s apparent GDPR breach.
It’s one thing releasing your own outbound messages (to a fucking journalist -lol), but releasing inbound messages from other named people as well as chats between others who should reasonably have expected that those messages would be read only by those in a closed group, is pretty dumb.
This brings us back to the days of Covid when there were endless debates about the competence, judgement and reliability of those who were at the very top of Government. Well as far as Hancock is concerned, we now know for sure that he probably was a completely dumb fuck lacking wholly in any form of reasonable judgement. He can’t have suddenly become so stupid and lacking in judgement. |

WhatsApp is inherently a problem because policy decisions are being made outside of public scrutiny.
Of course you can argue that verbal discussions in the corridor are also not recorded, but this now happens on a whole other scale now. Discussions anywhere at all times of day, with anyone. Appropriate or not. |

I doubt they leaked all this as a distraction. It's generally a mistake in politics to mistake some sort of fuck up for strategy. Not always, of course. |

The only real way to be secure is learn to code and create your own messaging app, you need to host your own xmpp server though They all use open source software |

The recent release of additional messages now show how Raab and Cummings assassinated senior members of the NHS as they kept arguing with ministers in relation to their incompetence over Covid and refused to stop criticising NHS funding policy in relation to privatisation.
One the victims was a labour supporter so received special attention.
This government is like a bunch of mafia dons scheming to lie cheat and steal .
These WhatsApp’s confirm how abjectly unfit for office they are.

The number of messages is the surprising thing for me, 100K? A lot of time to get through them and send them…
As for the content of the messages, I’m not at all surprised by the tone or the content, it happens, people need to talk privately to steer or get advice that is not reflective of their publicly outward messages. All they have really managed to do is confirm what people already thought they knew about him…. That is really not going to help his future plans I would hope.
I think he was naive and could only see the £, to allow those messages into the hands of another!
I’m surprised he wasn’t made to hand in or have his devices cleansed after leaving position to avoid this very issue. I do wonder if he has broken any employment, government policy by allowing these messages to be made public. |

WhatsApp is extremely safe. Nothing was leaked from WhatsApp he gave all his messages to someone else . Think you should re read the whole story mate |
