"The government or big business?

"

The government runs the country on behalf of and for the benefit of big businesses. The media keeps the electorate compliant and voting as instructed to.

At this moment in time I would say Tufton street but not the people who work there but those who fund it.

Big business just gets on with stuff they are designed to do. Very rich individuals who own great swathes of big business have a vested interest in power and influence.

Most of all earning more cash and keeping more cash . Power is money .

It works both ways so yes and no.

MPs become wealthy by being in power very rich people can become powerful by buying it.

It’s also why sovereignty is irrelevant - don’t want to go into Brexit before anyone starts. Before and after being members of the EU sovereignty is and has been for many years just a myth.

If Nissan say they are leaving they get cash. If the Chinese say they are shutting Scunthorpe steel works they get cash. Who has the power? Who’s driving the game?

"The government or big business?

There's a documentary called the " Four Horsemen". Watch it and you will know who runs not just this country but most of the western capitalist countries.

I've actually never seen anyone here with socialist views.

However I will say that a lot of people here don't understand socialism, and apply the word "socialist" as some kind of insult towards anyone who speaks up, questions government policy etc.

That’s exactly what a socialist would say…

They do say that money talks.

So who ever has the most money, seems to run the puppets in government.
