He has grass roots support but GOP aren’t about them. They’ll choose De Santis. Who’s possibly more dangerous as he’s just as toxic but knows politics. |

He “may” get the nomination, but it’s unlikely he’ll get full republican backing after the mid-terms and Jan 6th, they’ll be wanting to avoid that like the plague.
On the other hand, there’s a lot of discourse with the current Democrat government, so we may see a repeat of 2016. |

Well he already confirmed on the eve of the mid terms that he was running.
Will he secure the nomination? Not so sure about that given republican mid term performance and some high profile candidates of his who lost. That and the ongoing jan 6th and documents probe. Bidens own documents faux pas is helping him there.
Hopefully de santis will run and get the nomination as he will certainly beat biden or any other democrat nominee.
Worst case scenario for republicans is trump loses the nomination and then runs independent, splitting the party in the process |

He is not back on twitter, hasn't tweeted since Jan 21.
His account has been reactivated but he is still on Truth Social, his own version of Twitter.
Given all his recommended candidates for the mid terms lost, pundits doubt he will the nomination...but the world has more than its fair share of whackjobs...so anything is possible. |

I know a lot of republicans I do not foresee trump getting the nomination. Not here atleast. He won big time previously in our county. Desantis gained a lot of ground. |

As a president, and a leader, America have not had a strong candidate for a very long time (true about UK too, tbf).
Trump is not a good president.
He is however a man of amazing charisma and the attitude of don't give a fuck, we are doing it. He is also a master (along with his pr team) at strengthening the divide between people.
A master at the true face of politics, gaining support regardless of leadership skills
That is what gets his support, not his ability to be a world leader. |
