So I just got the idea that Brexit can be summed up by that scene in the Holy Grail where Arthur fights the black knight. The black knight gets various limbs chopped but insists he's invincible, it's just a flesh wound etc.
Brexiter logic today. |

The "black Knight defence" has been at the forefront of the Brexiteers argument since the day after the referendum.
That and the "deny everything Baldrick" defence. |

The more recent Brexiter saying I'm seeing is along the lines of: we won/you lost, get over it! Stop banging on about it! etc
Which is really odd, if you think about it. You'd think Brexiters would happily wanna boast about all the Brexit benefits we're now enjoying in their golden post Brexit age. |

Brexit has no tangible benefits, so the die hard Brexit will desperately try to justify their vote by stating
It was to annoy ‘lefties’
The EU are an ‘evil empire’
The EU will collapse without the UK

Hmmm as far as I know, people aren't denying the result of the Brexit referendum. So your comparison doesn't work. |

Why jump to the racist conclusion?
The best friend could well be black, in which case it wouldn't be racist at all. |

Given the context quoted above, it certainly sounds like some1 spouting a racist view. |

Could be. But why would a black person get so angry and confused about Obama and say the things this person so claimed? Doesn't make a lot of sense.
Either way, what's this got to do with the topic? |

I have no idea but it's still a conclusion jumped to.
And we've all heard 'no one tells me what to do', for a black guy to throw the N word in their would not be unusual |

Fair enough. Let's see what the poster has to say.
The context and emphasis of their friends use of the N word seems to be implying something. |

It implies something to those who jump to conclusions possibly.
I'll happily condemn on further exploration but until then, I'll hold judgement |

Meanwhile people who actually did vote for Brexit are overpaying their mortgages to help keep the interest they pay down and save themselves a lot of money over time.
You could use generalist straw man arguments to make yourself feel superior, or you could actually take positive steps to actually put yourself in a better position.
Just saying. |

It seems that losers will never ever really accept they lost the argument
SNP and indi ref are another current case in point
The simple fact is it was opened to referendum
Ie referred to the population to make the decision because our representatives couldn’t, to a satisfactory conclusion
It is done
And it’s time to make it work , that’s both sides including the EU |

I think that's the point, how can you make it work when the politicians are too scared to be honest about brexit. Most of them are still pretending it's a good idea.
We need someone who has a clear vision how to mitigate against all the damage and problems it's causing. Putting JRM in as minister for BO was insulting. |

The referendum had us leave the EU. Nobody has said that was not the case.
There are yet to be any positive outcomes other than to say you "won" if you voted out. Nobody knows what was won though.
If you are a leave voter do explain how everyone "makes it work"? Positive mental attitude? If we believe it, it will be a success? What does success look like?
The EU don't "have" to do anything. That's one of the "benefits" that we now have.
However, as the current Government is not continually prodding with a stick as the previous Brexit crew did, there may be some progress but we are no more in control of that outcome now than when we were in the EU. |

The sad thing is it's actually the "winners" who are the "losers"
They were suckered and the majority now realise that brexit is bad but some still can't understand just how much they are fucked |

I'm not having tantrums. I just want to start enjoying all the benefits you chose for us.
The only benefits I'm currently seeing are queues. At A&E because half the staff got kicked out, and at airports. The latter presumably because we're British and queueing in a fetish. |

Ironically brexit has probably ensured that the EU won't collapse as it very unlikely to leave the EU after the mess we made of and the costs. |

I think you will find WE ALL lost the referendum.
The "We won, get over it" statement only has merit when there is something clearly won on the table.
All I am seeing is a bare, empty table.

Those who voted for Brexit we now know were lied to, by a PM we now know is a serial fibber.
To keep to those lies, and to defend them makes no sense and nothing will get better until those lies are admitted. |

I think the fact that the UK is the only G7 economy that has not recovered its GDP back to pre-pandemic levels says more about the Brexit effect than you will ever hear from the likes of Jacob Rees-Mogg. Every other G7 economy has already seen growth above their Pre-Pandemic levels. |

The latest excuse is that this very hard brexit is somehow still not brexity enough and if only we’d brexited ‘Properly’, using some mythical brilliant version of brexit, things would be great. Oh, and that it’s all somehow the remainers’ fault. |

That's my favourite one, the clusterfuck is the fault of people who voted against the clusterfuck. |
