Looks like there are rumours that Rishi won’t survive till the May Elections.
His lacklustre announcements on Wednesday has made the tory elements even more worried that this government won’t survive till the General Election.
Alarm bells are ringing again, and letters are being submitted once again.
Factionalism is rife and whilst the was a lull in the party civil war recently, skirmishes are happening in the tea rooms in Westminster.
It won’t be long now. |

I seriously doubt they'll boot out Sunak before the next election. It would make them look even more ridiculous & incompetent to the electorate.
Then again, these are the people who promoted Johnson then Truss, so I guess nothing is off the table. |

Its just a joke now if the rumours turn out to be true which I suppose there is little doubt.
So if Sunak goes will there be a GE? |

From my understanding they don't have to call one, no. They can carry on with the same process - which the cynic in me says is on purpose to keep a Tory government in power (I use Tory not Conservative as I don't see what's been in power for a long time now as actual conservative in nature).
It only benefits them to call a G.E. if the current P.M is in a position of strength. Which they haven't been, which is why we've had a series of weaker and weaker leaders being propped up by behind the scenes deals.
But there's a time frame on how long they can do this for until a G.E. has to be held.
Folk more upto date and more knowledgeable than I feel free to pick this apart - this is mostly from memory with a sprinkling of leftie bias. |

It's a great plan. More Tory lords can be elected.
This is a zombie government whoever is in. The damage was done under Boris. And exacerbated under Truss.
The idea Boris can turn the tide seems odd to me and based on the hope people have forgotten... But as soon as his hat is in the ring, the covid investigation will come back up ... And all those rumours.
Plus the russian party thing.
And no doubt others.
Sunek is underwhelming. That's the best the Tories have to offer. It beats incompetence.
Maybe the hope is Boris will swing the odd seat.
And if not Boris .... Then who ? |

Surely the Tories are embarrassed? This is getting beyond a joke.
I know we vote for the party not the leader (ie not presidential elections) but the reality is many/most do vote based on the potential PM rather than their constituency PM (just look at all the Corbyn slating). However, this would mean 6 PMs in 13 years!
Nobody in their right mind would want the job right now anyway. Labour shouldn’t be clamouring for an election either because the whole shitshow is a poison chalice! |

Where did you see or hear these rumours, I can't see anything online?
I would be very surprised if this was actually the case, mainly because he is walking down a path that has been walked before. He is intending to take on the unions as did Thatcher in the tories longest stint in power.
I'm not convinced he or his advisors have the backbone or the strategic talent to succeed, time will tell. |

Why would anyone feel embarrassed.? We have sailed the ship through stormy waters and are on the road to success. Who cares how many prime ministers we have? . They have a team beneath them. We can get rid of a pm one day and replace them the following . The team is still operating, the only difference is a change of leader. Sometimes in life an open minded approach is the key to success. We can assign the ideas of the doubters and haters to the dustbin. What matters are the results on the day of the election. Everything else is irrelevant .
Just concentrate on our success stories. A landslide win at the last election. That put all the doubters and haters in their place. A top class Covid 19 vaccination programme that put the UK ahead of many other countries. A successfull exit from the EU Shortly we will start to reap the rewards and we can consign certain legislation to the dustbin.
Better to be behind in the polls now and use the next two years to catch up. Bring back Boris and we have a guaranteed win .
We are entering the home straight , it is onwards and upwards . The silent majority will have their say .
Who is going to vote for a leader who was incapable of defining what a women is .? At least Boris answered that simple question.
Holding firm against the vocal minority who are using force in an accempt to obtain unrealistic pay rises is the key to success. The silent majority accept that one person's pay rise is another person's cost. The government owe us that |

You seem to be suggesting that conservative voters are too thick to tell the difference between the number of seats won at a GE with being a good government.

Great moral compass that Boris!" Most people would accept that your private life is just that and your marriage is private. You would not be aware of what agreement Boris had with his wife or the state of his marriage and what support he was giving her. Do you want any member on this site kicked off it for having an affair or does your moral compass only apply to Boris . |

And a big mess of the country!
Who is going to vote for a leader who was incapable of defining what a women is .? At least Boris answered that simple question
Boris certainly does have a view of what women are...how many affairs and kids by different women does he have? Lovely chap having an affair with a member of staff while his wife battles cancer! Great moral compass that Boris! Most people would accept that your private life is just that and your marriage is private. You would not be aware of what agreement Boris had with his wife or the state of his marriage and what support he was giving her. Do you want any member on this site kicked off it for having an affair or does your moral compass only apply to Boris . "

"Why would anyone feel embarrassed.? We have sailed the ship through stormy waters and are on the road to success. Who cares how many prime ministers we have? . They have a team beneath them. We can get rid of a pm one day and replace them the following . The team is still operating, the only difference is a change of leader.
A team LOL. I know xmas is gone but...
Over the last 12 years the Tories gave to me:
11 Chief Whips
10 Education Secretaries
9 Environment Secretaries
8 Cabinet Reshuffles
7 Chancellors
6 Home Secretaries
5 Priiiiime Ministers!
4 Trade Secretaries
3 Levelling Up Secretaries
2 FPNs
And a big mess of the country!

But none of the people on Fab (as far as we know) were holding the top job(s) in the land with the power to determine how the rest of us will be able to live our lives. A person in that position should have pretty watertight morals.
Pretty certain nobody on fab can impact on my life in the same way, determining the level of tax I pay, or what the healthcare or education system looks like, or whether we will take military action!
The fact that he left his wife as a result of the affair tells us all we need to know about any supposed “arrangement”.
Incidentally, we will not play with people who are doing so behind their partners back. That’s our moral judgement. Others may feel differently. |

Boris was the PM, his private life (rightly or wrongly) is in the public domain, he was also sacked as PM for being a lying cunt |

"It will make Pat happy though as we could see bulla bulla bulla Johnson throw his hat back in the ring and as Pat likes to tell us Boris is one of life’s winners!
He has a mandate and as much as I would welcome him back, he's probably making far too much money on the speaking circuit to bother.
The Tory party have the mandate,
It wasn’t just any mandate. It was a landslide .The voice of reality. However a lot of posters on here have difficulty accepting this stunning success story. My guess is that those whom they support will never even come close. I believe it was an 80 seeat majority. I am more than happy to apologise if I am wrong or my memory is failing me. "
Boris had an 80 seat majority, in less than 3 years he was sacked for being a lying cunt |

"Cue the “he wasn’t sacked he resigned” conveniently ignoring that all Minister’s and PM’s who are sacked are given the chance to be “honourable” and resign. They were sacked!"
Yep, poor Pat doesn’t know how politics ‘works’ . |
