If you are corruptible then ot becomes inevitable. I couldn't have guessed from your post that one intracountry union has agreed to invest in another intracountry union to build trading routes infrastructure. It sounded a lot more nefarious. Both the Police and EU appear to have done their jobs so far. We will wait to see if there is a prosecution. If not, we can talk about corruption. It's no longer "our" corruption though, is it? The Philippines is one member of this association. Is there a particular reason that he is worthy of specific destain? Is there any geopolitical reason why the EU may be seeking to become more influential in South East Asia which is geographically close to China and Taiwan and is not condemning Russia's war in Ukraine? It’s amazing, guaranteed sunshine, far warmer and sunnier than where you are "Yes it's a bit warmer in the winter but too bloody hot in the summer. Hence winter world cup in its neighbour. As for the rest of it, just lots of bling and very little else. For that I can go to Vegas and get the Grand Canyon as a bonus. We had 3 days there as a stopover on the way to Singapore and it was more than enough. We spend most of the winter in Spain, I certainly wouldn't fancy it there. | |||

Whilst an arrest is not proof of wrong doing most reasonable people would regard moving 1.7 million in cash as being highly suspicious if your are an MEP. (or at least on to the extent of let's prove guilt) Declaring the gigs doesn't in itself make them above board. Its better than nothing as allows scrutiny. There is so much bad behaviour around the group of people actually in charge and making decisions about this country that directly affects us. Other stories pretty much pale into insignificance. Please provide some examples of big stories that have been ignored? Why haven't those who support the Conservative party if so significant? Were they not debated when they were? This bad behaviour has also been ignored or defended by this same Government and posters. It is just as likely that at some point there is so much evidence of how bad this Government and the Tory party is that it cannot be defended anymore. You seem to view it as an echo-chamber and in some way anti-Tory. The reality is just as likely (especially given the polling) that many supporters can and will no longer defend the Conservative party for their behaviour or competence and are equally disillusioned with Brexit and their is literally bad news about the party stacked up. I think your last paragraph pretty much sums up what I tried to point out in the OP.
Any whiff of corruption in the Tory party (real or imagined) is blown out of all proportion yet when it's Labour and the EU. It's SHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
On the upside though the echo in this forum is getting fainter and fainter.

I think you will have to accept that anti EU Tory shills are in the minority on here and in ‘real world’ . Last time I checked we had left the EU and fulfilled the result of a referendum.
