Since labour were in power and you just hear the constant blaming of all tory woes on them.

If you’re going to go on, I will continue to mention 12 years.

Yes, both Labour and the Conservatives are crap. This won't change until people actually form new parties and/or vote for candidates that are not representing Labour or Conservatives.

I can't speak for the former yet as it's been 12 years since there's been a Labour government. Although through luck or judgement the UK was rather better off under them.

I agree fully with the latter though. It's only in the interests of the Conservative and Labour parties to claim that voting for anyone else is a "wasted vote".

I think it's fairly clear that labour will win the next election and rightly so BUT what are you all going to complain about when you can't complain about your own party

Not really. The weather? What do you mean?

Why must anyone have their "own" party?

I don't think Labour will win

If they should, and they are as self serving and incompetent as the Conservatives there will be exactly as much dissent from me.

I don't care what colour tie they have on, I want them to prioritise running the country and not disaster capitalism and PPE contracts for their pals.

Because the electorate are predominantly tribal

There's a lack of pragmatism, both from politicians and the electorate.

That's why we now have wild swings of policy which delivers several years of chaos with no improvement.

The electorate demand instant change and delivery of everything in the manifesto.

Politicians promise anything that will get themselves elected.

The politicians' logic makes more sense than that of the electorate...

Why? Because they prefer easy solutions to complicated questions and quick fixes.

It was never really any different, but slower news and having to read more than sound bites forced some time for consideration.
