Gains access to our Foreign Secretary’s (Lizz Truss) mobile for at least a year before MI5 discovered it and then Johnson and Simon Case buried the story so as not to embarrass Teuss and the Home Office.
Putin just today blames the U.K. for a terrorist attack on the Nordstream pipeline and identifies the U.K. as being the sponsors and organisers of the drone attacks on Sevastopol earlier today.
When will it dawn on Brexiters that Brexit was sponsored by Russia with the intent of putting the uK in a weaker position outside of the EU and thereby creating a lever into which discord and misinformation could be leveraged to weaken both the U.K. and the EU.

I did point out that Brexit benefitted Putin in the past on here. Certain people were v unwilling to hear that. |

Putin was a great supporter of Brexit because he knew it would weaken the UK and Europe to some extent, cause untold damage and generally be a complete shit-show.
Of course he supported it.
That should have been a big enough red flag for anyone really.

"Russia does not need to do anything just look at the EU covid responce separate eu states all clamoring to buy their ppe because the eu is tied down by bureaucracy and is slow to act on anything. "
That's a macrocosm and not limited to the EU.
A microcosm is going out with 10 mates and trying to decide which restaurant to go to a meal. Same result. Takes ages.
It's just human nature. Things take time and everyone gets a say.
I'm usually the one to say to the host, "Fred is vegan, Steve doesn't do Indian food, Harry is on a diet, Gordon loves Italian, Adam had dinner before he came out, and we haven't made a booking anywhere and the next taxi is in 2 hour's time. You didn't plan this very well did you ?"
The point being, the speed in which a country acts is no sound marker of their civic success or credibility. Anyone can make snap decisions. And experience shows, act in haste, repent at leisure.

Putin was open about breaking up the EU during and running up to the Brexit vote.
Money, bots and other influences were used as was the case when he planted Trump, along with Murdoch in the Whitehouse.
The Murdoch's also have a lot to answer for where we are at today, in the UK, the US and other countries their media outlets have influence. How a single Australian can control the planet by owning powerful media.
The media laid a lot of distain at the doors of the EU, as did UK politicians. Where distasteful policies was (falsely) blamed against Brussels to shield themselves from criticism. |

Would you expect anything else where 27 countries have their own vested interests.
But on the whole, progress is forward?
I argue my point with others everyday as do they with me, eventually, we find common ground and come to a solution that mostly works. |

Could anybody explain how Russia convinced people to vote to leave the EU?
Did the Russians also put out so much propaganda that more people turned out for the vote than any previous UK vote in history? Was that Russian influence too?
We can accept rational arguments as to the negative aspects of Brexit but to suggest Russia had any effect in it is pure fantasy.
Have you seen how Russian bots and trolls actually type? They can't convince anyone. |

Yet they do. I watched a very interesting interview with ex KGB defector Yuri Bezmenov from back in the 80's, he describes ideological subversion and changing the perception of reality.

Hmmm apart from the funding for the Leave campaign, and Aaron Banks refusing to admit where it came from but having clear links to Russia you mean? Not about Russian Bots (although they were definitely active on social media) it is about interfering in our democratic process. Happens all the time around the world, not just the Russians. It is called espionage. |

The Center for Strategic and International Studies...
“Crucially, the UK Government is accused of making a deliberate effort not to find out how Russian influence may have affected the June 2016 vote. This is all the more incredulous because the government admits there was Russian interference in the 2014 Scottish referendum, declaring it the first time that Russia directly interfered in a Western election. The government also admits that Russia interfered in the December 2019 general election. This information makes the lack of preparedness for 2016 (and 2019) and lack of response all the more stunning. The report rightly calls for a thorough inquiry; the UK government has so far rejected the call.” |

BRICS , OPEC and other new organisations are changing the game .
Russia ,Brasil,India, Arabia Saudi,China and more other countries are destroying the west?
Or they just wake up and realized that they are the most rich countries in the world , when comes to energy recourses, farming resources, technology resources etc. We are looking at countries that 30 years ago were nothing they were 3th world countries. We can argue that they are the bad countries in the world but what America , Europe and other Western countries/policies have done ? The just ripped out the economy of those country's and controlled their governments with sanctions and wars just to defend the Western greedy policies.
We should be blaming our politicians and questioning them a long time ago.
We have in this country a tory government for 12 years and they still blaming the labour party for everything that goes wrong in this country ! We the western now blame Russia for everything ! We blame asian countries for fuel prices , etc etc .
Rhe sanctions imposed to Russia they give them more money then ever.
We western still have the mindset that we are the owners of the world or the protectors of the world against the Occidental.
Those countries have been colonised and for hundred of years they have been exploited, but now the times are other times and they wake up and realized, why they need to submit to the western global imposed policies if they don't get nothing in return?
We can say their population they have nothing , no houses no quality of life and they are corrupt country's where they stole the money from their people . I do agree with that 100% but how about our politicians? How about our homeless, how about our infrastructures etc.
We travel to some of those country's and we see how their cities have improved , how modern are , how clean are , education is improving as never seen before , their industrialisation is far ahead and faster in new technologies.
They built full cities from scratch in 2 a 5 years .
We are getting behind we are losing and sad showing to them that western economy , policies and social structure is controlled by tyrants like the ones we say they are governed by |

Isn't it all cycical. Different countries and civilisations have risen to the top over the last 3000 years.
What you described is only a small time frame in that period.
China and India before being colonised were the the wealthiest countries in the world. India was at one time 25% of the worlds gdp.
Its like families and wealth. Once a individual or society get too wealthy, the comforts makes them less hungry and less drive, thats when the decay starts. |
