The money for furlough is public money. Paid for by taxes. Google says about £70 billion cost.
Which is about the cost of Brexit every 18 months.
So it cost a lot. But it saved people from starving, being homeless and dying.

Well it's hardly a significant day on day change for GBP/USD rate! It's well within the normal ranges of a daily movement.
Yes the sterling rate was down day-on-day a tad. Irrespective of who could have been nominated\chosen today, and that fact the leadership uncertainty is addressed, it's going to be a choppy time for whoever is in charge to sort, is the narrative I am seeing as to why the pound is viewed slightly weaker by the markets. |

You want another Truss that is, was one of the most incompetent leader in the world.
Truss was very qucik to fully support her mini budget and even quicker to distance herself and through her best friend now ex CoE un a triple decker bus.
Truss blamed everyone but herself.
The pound tanked, Gilted crashed and the UK taxpayer ie those that work and pay taxes or paying taxes are paying for the 80 billion pound mess this misfit Truss has created.
Even a donley would have done a much better job than Truss |

People die “with” lots of things , you might have a 100 or so illnesses when you finally die, you may have a cold, flu, pneumonia, a sore foot, covid etc.
Lots of people died with COVID because lots of people had COVID when they died.

I tried several times to figure this one out.
How many died of covid: just over 6.5 million.
"Rather then with". No clue.
"Economic dire". Also no clue.
"Paying for those with no jobs". Do you mean furlough? That was good. Saved families from starving.

So look into how many died of covid especially in this country
Whose paying for those furlough payments to be paid back? How much money is it?
How many died "with covid" who would have still be alive the following day/month/year if they hadn't caught it?
How many people typically die of flu each year? Why do we give people a flu jab if they aren't going to die of it but just with it...

Google is good but won't tell me when people would otherwise have died.
Google also won't tell me how many died of flu. Why? Because , like covid, that's not really the figure we talk about ....

You want me to provide you with that figure that is a couple of thousand who died Of covid...so you can then make your next point which is why did we take the action we did because covid only killed a couple of thousand...
Try to understand “died of” and “died with” and realise that the latter was still saying Covid was a contributory factor and that without Covid the underlying condition may not have been terminal or at least not terminal so soon!

You're using two accounts, you're making lots of typos, and you're mixing a point about currency devaluing (which it wasn't) with a point about covid deaths.
