Frankly, I find that the prospect of Boris coming back to his natural home, No.10 Downing Street, and regaining his position as leader of the Conservative party, quite exciting.
Of all the potential future leaders, Boris has the most charisma, biggest ego and most demonstrable leadership traits.
It would be a Churchillian triumph, but despite all of these traits, the UK's economic prospects are bad
Since Brexit, a disaster the ramifications of which have yet to fully develop, the UK economy has shrunk from 90% to 70% of the German economy, and will diminish even further over the next twenty years.
Neither the Conservatives nor the Labour Party can combat the country's bad financial situation; Boris will simply be rearranging the deckchairs on the RMS Titanic with more panache that Sunak, Mordaunt or Starmer! |

"Can yiu detail some of those 'demonstrable leadership traits'? Because I've never seen them.
Why does an ego make a good PM?"
Prime Ministers of GB have to be able to gloss over their mistakes, errors, and indiscretions and forget the contradictions in all the Press Releases that they have ever authorised, the radio interviews and TV appearances that they have ever had; and to do this with confidence.
They are the ephemeral public face of a system that is founded on lies, bluff and bluster.
In short, they have to be psychopathic, to act without any conscience.
They are successful actors on a real life stage which has the capacity to better or disimprove people's lives, at the stroke of a pen!
I could not do what they do because I have a real conscience and I always tell the truth; I would make a hopeless politician or international corporate executive! |

"Keep thinking I’ve come on the politics forum by mistake lately
Clearly, you have!"
There's a Politics section. Could you please post politics threads there rather than Lounge ? |

Boris will certainly funnel off more public money into the pockets of Tory party donors. |

"If we're going to be an international laughing stock, might as well go all in.
We have been since 24th June 2016."
Sure. But we need to aim high. Or low. Breaking international law, giving jobs to mistresses, Peppa pig. The centre of the earth is not too low for us. |

If the answer is ever Boris Johnson. What in God's name is the question. He is a proven liar and be honest another Tory failure. How many disasters can this one party give us. Cameron, May ,Johnson, Truss .Surely we all apart from their mates of course, have suffered enough of their scandals and incompetence |

"One reassuring signs are that the comments on Daily Mail are horrified at the suggestion so if the members have to vote that's possibly an indication how it could go"
If I'm agreeing with the commentariat of that website, something is very wrong with the world |
