The prime minister with the total shortest period in office was George Canning, whose sole term lasted 119 days from 12 April 1827 until 8 August 1827 it was only that short because he died in office….
Liz might not even get to 100 days….

, Probably, he seems immortal, he hasn’t aged, he looks the same now as he did when he was 13 |

The Sun and the Mail both have big negative stories front and centre about the meltdown of Truss's government on their websites. If they have turned on her so much, she has to be finished soon. |

"Surely she has to be gone in days at this rate."
How dare it be even suggested..
PM: “Well, I delivered the energy price guarantee and the national insurance and we will continue to work to deliver economic growth for our country.
Repeat:
PM: “Well, I delivered the energy price guarantee and the national insurance and we will continue to work to deliver economic growth for our country.
She delivered on her energy price guarantee – to make sure people are only paying, a typical household, £2,500 – did you not hear about that?
Or is the record player stuck again, hang on.
Liz Truss: “What was really important is we acted to help families as soon as we could and what we’re seeing this weekend is the energy price cap guarantee coming in so that a typical family won’t pay more than £2,500 on their energy bills.
“If you remember, we were looking at figures of up to £6,000 so it was important we acted quickly."
Of course we remember, we'll also not forget 6% Mortgage rates and the £ tanking.
Many will NEVER forget the day their homes were repossessed due to £6000 annual increases in Interest.
Boris, Liz said we'd regret you going- please come back, all is forgiven..
But she saved them from increasing Energy Bills. |

Not so sure and I think she has done a deal with the powers that be in a party. Her choices for cabinet members are slowly being removed and her policies dismantled. I think she is there as a figurehead to maintain some sham of stability within the party. |

And then what?
Another one in charge for you all to moan about?
Then let's say a GE is called and labour get in.
Will we see endless threads on how shit Stamer is?
No doubt yes.
I've come to the conclusion that some people will never be happy.
But even tho I'm not a Tory I did defend Boris as he was in charge during a very difficult time but I think they should go on the basis of gross negligence and complacency and let's face it you could say treason.
The king is the only one who has the power to step in.
Off with their heads.
Bunch of self serving sycophants. |

Can’t help thinking it’s time we brought back the stocks
Can you imagine what might happen to Thick Lizzie if she was put in the stocks for a day or two?
Pretty sure there would be a queue of home owners happy to demonstrate how it feels to be fucked over |

Well it's just been announced Liz truss is currently meeting with Graham Brady so maybe I was wrong and she will be ousted. Surely we can't go through another leadership election so they are just going to have to appoint someone and I think we don't need to guess too much to know who that will be. |

"I think this is the beginning of the end… I thought they would have left her to hang out to dry till hunts budget statement…
But last night was the final straw… "
Remember, she said she's a 'fighter not a quitter'..
She could try and ride it out which will only bring more chaos and more public calls from her own MPs for her to go.. |

"Should we wait on pat to send in his letter of no confidence… or is he going down with the titanic "
He is waiting so he can put his unwavering support behind the new PM, if it’s Sunak he will struggle after what he previously said about him |

The Shovel (the Onion in Australia, basically) tweets:
"Fuck. We sent Liz Truss a congratulatory card for her first day in office. It looks like it may not arrive in time"
Maybe Truss would have been better off if she had been an unknown minor royal, like an Australian broadcaster thought during the Queen's funeral |
