To sack/lose one Cabinet Minister is careless but to sack/lose two is downright idiotic

Truss is Toast. Sacks her number two. Now her number three is going/gone.

Oh dear.

I guess secret PM Hunt didn’t like Suella?

Oh who the hell knows? They lie routinely at this point. Politicians have always lied to a degree, but ever since Johnson it's gone into overdrive here.

I suspect that after their 12 years in power the Conservatives have now scraped through the bottom of their barrel.

Time they went back to the Carlton Club and find another pig head fucker to present to the country.

PDI 12-26th Nov 24

In her resignation letter sent to the PM on Wednesday, the now former home secretary acknowledged she had breached government security rules, stating: "I have made a mistake; I accept responsibility; I resign."

The former Conservative leadership candidate also expressed "concerns about the direction of this government".

"Not only have we broken key pledges that were promised to our voters, but I have had serious concerns about this government's commitment to honouring manifesto commitments, such as reducing overall migration numbers and stopping illegal migration, particularly the dangerous small boats crossings," Ms Braverman wrote.

So can MPs access their personal email from govenment computers?

(Feels risky from a security POV)

Or had she emailed it to herself to start with? So lots of consciousness bypassing of rules? That feels less like a "technical" mistake to me.

Sorry to have posted this on a lot of threads but it is astounding...

Suella Braverman was the shortest-serving Home Secretary for 188 years.

Kwasi Kwarteng was the shortest-serving Chancellor for 52 years.

Liz Truss can beat that. If she goes before Christmas she'll be the shortest-serving UK Prime Minister ever.

It looks are if at the last minute they said it wasn’t a confidence vote… thus undermining the entire whips office all day

Because it wasn’t a confidence issue.. the snp abstained because it’s an England issue…

But the DUP still voted with the government….

And now there are allegations of bullying in the voting lobbies… and some very senior politicians pointing fingers at various people

It’s all a shambles…

Either way the intervention is a loss of some sort for the UK taxpayers

Bank of England has not paid for the bonds in cash, it has created the money with a guarantee from the Treasury, which means that every pound is covered by the taxpayer.

Govt have made the taxpayer pay for their incompetence.
