They probably had a week-long expenses paid junket to come up with it too.
All sat around a table, supping on expensive beverages, eating the finest foods while talking about how they can squeeze more money out of poor people and keep businesses sweet.

How about the anti growth coalition. She framed all other political parties alongside extinction rebellion, thereby framing environmentalism as something they are against.
Just so happens the market reaction (environmentalism or not), doesn't like what she's selling either. |

But isn't that what politicians have become. All slogans and no substance.
After Trump won with MAGA and Boris with Get Brexit Done. It seems they think they just need to keep repeating slogans.
Anytime Tory MPs were being interviewed and asked questions about partygate they all robotically would reply " We are getting on with it, getting Brexit done, vaccine roll out, blah blah blah.

It's feeding itself though... All the media want are snippets.. The quality of journos, and editors has never been lower... They are never held to account... We the public have become more selfish... I need to pause. But yeah..we have never had a lower quality of representation or opposition. |

growth: even if it's in London only. Growth: even if it's driven by immigration. Growth: even if it just makes the rich, richer.

Fair to say things were moving quite nicely until the bloody C word landed on us and the rest of the world. Of course things now need to get moving …

Before the C was the B..
Not dismissing the former and its global impact but the economy under this government since 2010 hadn't been exactly dynamic then we had brexit which has had a negative affect on GDP and still does..
A bit like Truss and her promise of good times ahead but won't say when the brexit benefits for the majority are yet to materialise.. |

Just browsing and noticed that Fitch credit agency has cut the UK outlook to negative (AA-) from stable, joining similar outlook to that of s&p global.
Fitch cited unfunded fiscal package leading to increased deficits. A deficit of 7.8% 2022 rising to 8.8% 2023. An estimate of 101% debt to GDP 2022 will rise to 109% GDP 2024 from a weaker growth outlook. 8.9% inflation this year declining to 4% 2024.
