Bunch of dopey wankers or saviours of the planet?

They certainly look like a bunch of dopey wankers!

One of them ‘Sean’ claims that ‘as a gay man all of our people would have died if they hadn’t taken direct action, we stand on the shoulders of giants’.

In fairness, you're not their target audience.

They are mostly a bunch of champagne socialists, hiding behind climate protests and doing more harm for climate progress than good. Their only supporters are their own numbers and their actions are turning the majority of normal people away from their cause.

Are "normal people" indifferent to climate change?

What could be a better approach?

Thankfully most ‘normal people’ can see through the hysteria or self serving sensational ism.

Campaigning for Birth control in sub Sahara Africa would be a better approach

The best approach, in my thoughts, is the find the gears to make the economy (globally) about green.

If people can get rich of being green, it’ll take hold.

You don’t need to look too far back to realise that is what drove almost all of our “modern” lives, the ability to financially enrich the individual and significantly enrich the few.

Sad times when you think that "normal people" are completely clueless about science.

You said before that you are against teaching climate science to kids. What would be your suggestion how to bring about some positive change without education?

I said before that I was against putting the fear of god into children with twisted hysteria on climate change. I do hate it when people misquote me.

We could start by teaching them not to visit the shops to and from their journey to school, loading up with snacks then lobbing the discarded packs, cans, bottles wherever they feel.

Sub Saharan birth control?

So you're in favour of teaching climate science, even though you don't believe in it or want to learn about it yourself?

I can't help you with your confusion about sun Saharan Africa, as I don't even understand what is troubling you.

Of course I’m keen to teach kids about anything that threatens our beautiful planet. Although based on the experiences this week of current girlfriend who has just started supply teaching, there are more immediate issues to address.

Chancers, grifters, spouting hysteria turns people off. Keep it real. Jets flying to Sharm el Sheikh for the COP27 extravaganza to tell us all how we need to change is outrageous. One example that links climate reporting hysteria, and the problem of rampant population growth was the story early this year or late last? ‘Madagascar the first climate change induced famine’. No mention of the fact that the population on an island with limited resources has grown from 6 to 26 million people in just fifty years. Another more recent one, the floods in Pakistan , blamed on climate change. No mention that the population has grown from 58 million to 226 million, many living in flood plains, and not mentioning that the landscape has been formed by flooding over millions of years.

So perhaps the soppy lot blocking roads in London, and the silly girl that posed while pouring ‘stuff’ over a statue would be better used preaching birth control & giving out condoms in Africa / Asia?

I'm going to say that it didn't work.

Certainly everyone is talking about the foolish girl and her bucket of shit, but no one is talking about the cause that she was trying to publicise. I suspect that most people have already forgotten what it was.

I agree. The stunt was foolish and distracts people from the issues.

She should have poured crap all over an actual private jet. Kids today, always taking the lazy option.
