Just reading online news that shows a video of an eco protester pouring what she claims as liquified human shit onto the memorial statue of Tom Moore

Angry and irrational? I suspect she has little or nothing to be angry about. Perhaps the family of Sir Tom can now be angry and irrational in response to what is simply a dirty, disgusting, shameful act.
Not sure how you link this to lack of police - are you saying they should be guarding every monument in the land just in case some deluded idiots want to make a point? There were plenty of police around during lockdown by the way, they even ventured out on the streets. |

She was not so long ago setting her leg on fire on YouTube in the name of protest.
Her partner in that endeavour was the one who did it at the tennis.
This is utterly bizarre as a form of protest as I’m sure Just Stop Oil will welcome another useful idiot seeing as their number one guy is in prison for six weeks. They need someone to lock onto to goal posts. |

I claim that the root cause of this is due to government incompetence, cause and consequences, if there was a different government I doubt we would be here.
You announce the restarting of fracking in the UK, which according to all sensible polls is not an idea supported b the vast majority of people in the UK, of course there is going to be outrage.

I cant even find an example that is comparable because every one that enters my head has a connection to the relevant cause.
People in poverty paying extra money due to environmental reasons- they don't go round making giant bonfires to stick two fingers up to the environment. Even though it would be justified because it has a connection.
I'm sure if this twit done this to your father's or loved ones memorial, you would be fine with it because its the government's fault

To me it's fairly clear that the poster believes the word 'woke' to mean 'virtue signalling'. Not an uncommon definition.
This thread is about a woman protesting about the use of private jets, saying that they are an ecological disaster. The poster that first mentions 'woke' was referring to the sort of celebrity that uses their private jet to get to eco conferences, a deplorable form of virtue signalling.
It doesn't seem like a 'shoehorning' to me, and it's clear that the poster had no thought of racism or anti-racism, in mind when they posted. |
