She was unique and nothing will ever come close. Always there in this country's strife.

Don’t consider myself a royalist but then nor am I one of those who demand a republic. However, the Queen has been a constant all of our lives, and in my case all of my parent’s lives. This really is the end of an era and I surprised myself with how sad I felt yesterday.
While Charles is divisive, I like how he has raised awareness and championed environmental issues and organic farming. I hope he doesn’t bow to protocol and political pressure and continues to use his now greater platform to talk/shout about these issues. |
