Wouldn’t know it they did or not it’s not something I ask they way I see it politics and brexi have nothing to do with it so never bring it up
Some things are best just left unspoken about that those two topics are in that list |

"Would never meet a Tory or a brexiteer ! Even if they looked like Jenna Coleman for me or Bruce Willis for wife, couldn’t be in the same room. Harsh ? Or just meet people with morals? "
I can't get Athos, Porthos, and Aramis out my head, after reading this |

I would not meet anyone who bought politics into the conversation.....I am not here to discuss or judge people's political views. Most people on Fab prefer to talk about sex.

What if they pretended to not be them things just to meet you then you all had great fun and got on well, best time ever. Then the next time you meet up they tell you they lied. Would you still meet them? And bare in mind they are sat in your living room naked.? |

I can't be the only one who started reading this thread thinking "who the fuck is Jenna Coleman"?
Anyway, if she walked in carrying a life-size effigy of Boris Johnson whilst waving a Brexit banner and said "You can only fuck me if I leave these in the room whilst we do it"...
My willpower would entirely dissolve despite being a "re-moaner" and a traditional liberal-leaning voter. |

I wouldn't meet anyone who wanted to talk about politics regardless of their stance.
I've had a lifetime of shit politics and fake politicians and have no interest in political discussion. Life is too short for that crap. |

I wouldn't judge someone based simply on who they vote for plus it's not something I ask. Unless somebody brings up something that I am vehemently against or shows extreme views one way or another Then I would definitely meet them. You also seem to be implying that people who vote Tory or voted for brexit are horrible people. |

I'm very much against Brexit but unlike you I don't assume people who think differently to me don't have morals. Don't get me wrong, there a certainly were reasons for voting for Brexit that I'd consider immoral but there were plenty that weren't.
I'm more likely to avoid people that label everyone who disagrees with them as a "bad" person than those who I simply disagree with. Being able to see life from the viewpoint of others implies the kind of open and thoughtful mind I appreciate. Labeling everyone with a different opinion as immoral is childlike and divisive.

I'm inclined to agree with the above. Likewise I find such talk as off putting (especially if serious and not in jest). That's doesn't mean I dont despise the Conservative party (especially in its current form of leadership), I do. Im a stantch trade unionist and naturally at lot of what Tories stand for are opposed to my veiws. Likewise I could see Brexit was a mistake and I was also dubious as to true nature of Brexit (I was remaining left wing Eruo-skeptic). So I know there were other sides to the Brexit debate and my Trade Union even supported Brexit.
However I take people as I find them. I take how they rationalise the world as I find it. And I am always happy to challenge and be challenged (in return) in civil discussion. Naturally there is a fair chance that political choice maybe indicative of nature. But I have dated those with Conservative leaning in the past and know such a simple polarised veiw point that all Tories and Brexiteers are bad and not to be with as just ignorant.
Also the current collection of Tory front benchers are terrible and devoid of morals. I think many grass roots Tories are struggling to identify with this lot morally and also in terms of policy (I think it's unfair and inaccurate to say all tories lack morals).
So yep personally I judge by how I find the individual rather than how they voted. |

It's possible during a meet to find out that you are in no way compatabable so see the meet through and leave politely, personally I couldn't carry on seeing someone on any level who is a flag waving Brexitter. |

In most areas, people's preferences about who they want to meet is said to be sacrosanct.
Presumably, to be consistent, this would also apply to politics.
If someone doesn't want to meet people of a particular political persuasion, that should be as sacrosanct as only wanting to meet blondes or people with more melanin. |

I don't think it was that was the issue it was the assumption that somehow people that don't agree with them don't have morals and further down the thread are not intelligent that caused issue not their preference. |

How do you tell what party they voted for and how they voted in the referendum?. Do you just trust them if the say they voted any other party and remain? As others mention is it just the combination of Tory and leave that you won't meet or does it apply to the other parties and leave |

That's the OP's opinion.
Presumably "I only meet black guys because only black guys can turn me on" is sacrosanct, though likely untrue and offensive. Why not "I only meet people of political persuasion X, because I find other political persuasions immoral?" |

I find most of the race based assumptions about meets problematic, but apparently that's off limits because preference is sacrosanct.

I would meet anyone but a tory.
If someone around my age is a tory that is a massive red flag tbh.
Tories think parties are like football teams, whereas anyone else believes your political affiliation reflects your outlook on life. That's why tories say they don't care about political views of a potential partner. |

Tories open minded? Lmao they are literally called "conservatives" - The political spectrum that's about either regressing or keeping things as it is. That is the furthest you can be from "open minded".
Tories don't care about the effects of their votes on other people. They just care about being on the "winning" team and believing they ate contrarians. That's why they would be more likely to meet non tories. |

"I would meet anyone but a tory.
If someone around my age is a tory that is a massive red flag tbh.
Tories think parties are like football teams, whereas anyone else believes your political affiliation reflects your outlook on life. That's why tories say they don't care about political views of a potential partner.
Or perhaps’Tories’ are just more open minded and less bigoted?
Tories open minded? Lmao they are literally called "conservatives" - The political spectrum that's about either regressing or keeping things as it is. That is the furthest you can be from "open minded".
Tories don't care about the effects of their votes on other people. They just care about being on the "winning" team and believing they ate contrarians. That's why they would be more likely to meet non tories."

Brexiters typically have a lower level of education and less likely to be employed in professional jobs. You won't find too many doctors who thought Brexit was a good idea. |
