Who is feeling this or knows anyone who is feeling this and making cut backs.

I have a restaurateur friend who says he is going to have to make tough decisions about staff reduction . Even though he hass a very busy restaurant and knows his service will suffer.

He says he has already raised prices as far as his customers will accept during the summer to cost for food price increases.

I have also seen my domestic energy bills go up from £100 a month to £400. This has obviously meant a reduction in my spending in other areas, eating out, clothes etc.

As the UK started to come out of lockdown I thought regular club visits might be possible but the energy bill hikes stopped that. We're making savings everywhere because the profiteering will only get worse. Unfortunately many businesses will go bust in the next year because rates, rent and utility costs have been allowed to spiral out of control. The only growth sector will be debt collection

Not feeling anything..

Bills are still that same as last September and I make 90% of the energy I use each year.

Did the price go up or something?

But I did come on here in March telling others THEY NEED TO GET INTO CONTRACTS before October.

Met with sarcastic remarks and accused of being alarmist or over reacting and using obsolete technologies.

Oh well..

You can take the horse to Water, but you can't make it drink.

Maybe if people listened to genuine advice and did something!!

Not to piss on people's chips.

There is also a further 20% to 30% rise in January and likely 15% to 25% in April.

You also need to watch this site.

You've no need to worry about the cost of energy if there isn't any to buy!

Just keep your eye on the gas part, bearing in mind two of our biggest Winter electricity providers have warned they have no surplus for us this Winter.

https://grid.iamkate.com/

67% of our electricity tonight is bring generated from gas, in the middle of Summer!

No offense but you all voted for less carbon emissions . This is the result. So whining about something you created solves nothing. End result.. you voted you accepted the consequences. Now tables have to turned and everyone panics.
