I am concerned about a few things..
The intended target who burst into the house won't "grass" on the killer - can't he be prosecuted for accessory to murder/assisting a murderer or something by not speaking?
The not snitching rule as reported in the news? What's going on with this country?!
Lastly, if ee get out of the echr rules, could we use drugs and torture on the guy who was chased to talk?

The current situation in Liverpool is shocking
Is the no-snitch “law” really a uk wide problem or does that city suffer from it more than others? |

I still struggle to comprehend this. That poor family will never recover.
Let’s hope those behind it are brought to justice.
Let’s hope also that it starts a backlash to end the gang & drug culture that is blighting society. Clearly the police can’t cope .
I’d bring in the army and lock the city down. Root out and smash those involved in illegal activity. A model to roll out elsewhere. |

Four times bigger population and a much tougher geography.
While we know the paramilitary groups were involved in organised crime there was also a ‘cause’ supported by sectors of the population.
Not so in Liverpool, as all the good & decent people will rise in support and help drive the scumbags out.

It's not the scumbag fleeing a gunman we should be concerned about.
It it the useless police, who seem incapable of finding a man audacious enough to chase someone into a domestic dwelling, and fire blind into a living room where children could be.
It is the pathetic incapabiloty of the police, who can issue fines for speeding or harass people who say mean things on the internet, but who cannot find a gunman going I to people's homes.
That is where our anger should be. The media are also complicit, trying to give this false narrative that the authorities are in control. |

So when they shot and killed mark Duggan everyone was rioting and complaining of police heavy handed tactics ( he was a scumbag gang member)
Tottenham Mandem street gang wit. International links
Even his mum was on telly saying how they had killed her son and how he was innocent ect
Is it any wonder that this has happened?
I do feel for the mum of this little girl who some scumbag has stolen her life away and I hope he gets a kicking every day for the rest of his life.
But to lay the blame at the police when so many people enable these gangs by dealing with them is wrong.

In which other civilised countries in the world have you seen the Army occupying a National city?
What you are talking about there is actual dictatorship stuff.

Nah Tory policy is say something dictatorial do absolutely nothing and watch your base claim both that the problem still exists and that you solved it. |

"there have been two arrests. "
Both of those arrests resulted in the men being released without charge. The police are currently under very intense pressure to appear relevant. When the actual perpetrator of the killing is found then the authorities have some reprieve. |

There are places in Liverpool / Merseyside that are police no go areas, stockbridge village was one of the places.
There was a T/A army barracks in Huyton, that the local thugs used to shoot into with air rifles. That was back in the 90's. |

That's as good as released without charge as they have nothing to charge them with. Notice how the media are not focussing on this anymore? Can't have the public at large questioning the reliability of the half rate half wits in uniform can we? |

Blame the police all you want, Its the Law makers that allow these people to act the way they want knowing they will only get a few years for dealing/shooting etc
Double/triple the time you get dealing or carrying weapons and less people will do it |

That won't deter some criminals from carrying weapons, you have to catch the person with the weapon. |

They are still looking for the killer. Finally released grainy footage of a slender person of about 5ft 10 to 6ft running and also a picture of the Black Audi. Although media or police censored the Audi's number plate. Yeah zero faith in the authority figures to find this one. |
