An old clip popped up of Truss talking back when she was chief secretary to the Treasury.
In the clip, Truss basically calls British workers lazy. She goes on to say in the referendum the idea that Europe + migrants are causing the problems isn't true. And that we just need more graft here,
I'm sure this is gonna go down v well with her Brexiter supporters. |

I think the infrastructure / network in the UK is poor outside the major cities and that plays a huge part in work and attitudes.
I also think it depends on how we define lazy.
If I take my car to a garage for a tyre, and they suck in air and tell me they can't do anything for a couple of days, but they are sitting around do nothing, do I see lazy or people on a break?
I think we have a society that wants everything now, and people in jobs who don't want to play that game.
As a nation, we can play the bloody minded not doing it, up theirs and who they think they are cards, rather well. I would put us close second to the French, I think we kept those genes.

Yet another sound bite that’s nothing really, we all know and have worked with lazy cunts who don’t give value for money to their employers.
I have worked in high union membership companies and all they did all day long was make things difficult for the company and others who just wanted to get on with working.

Even on these forums people say brits are lazy especially on a topic about immigration. We need immigrants to do the jobs brits simply won't do has been quoted before. So Liz appears to be agreeing with these people. I'm certainly not a fan of either candidate but it does seem to be a case of who said it rather than what was said. |

What you said in the past is completely irrelevant. No one is bothered about comments like this. She is storming her way to victory and that is what counts. The country is privileged to have her as prime minister. If she gets things right she might even beat the 80 seat majority gained by Boris which in itself was a stunning achievement. |
