I’m not really a fan of Gary Lineker. Great when playing for England but never reached the pinnacle as never played for Chelsea.

Why the controversy though over his ‘bra one’ tweet?

I accept I may be just a miserable middle aged man or a misogynistic sexist pig, but I can’t see what was wrong with it. Help please?

Just typical overreaction by some people on social media I think. Wasn't a particularly funny joke but not really offensive. The girl in the photo took her shirt off and had a bra underneath, just a pun based on that. Also the people saying it's misogynistic, isn't that also a bit gendered? Are women the only one who wear bras? Do we need the player pictured self-identifies as a woman? (Obvioisly joking, but I imagine that is the kind of knots some people on social media tie themselves in nowadays)

Also it did happen over a week ago and he deleted the tweet pretty much straight away. Don't think there's still much talk about it

The BBC briefly sexualised those images. Was there any need for slow motion being repeated over and over, then on the news?

It was a sports bra, nothing to see here and a statement. Having seen Chloe in interviews later and some really good positive stories, fair play to her and what she stands for for women.

The yellow card is arguable also, ad nothing was shown and still covered.

Seeing her bouncing breasts in slow motion with my 11yr old daughter wasn't necessary so many times over.

If you want pervy football, search YT for womens LFL.

Yellow is standard for removing a shirt. It was brought in to stop players inciting crowd trouble. Still don't get it myself, it's a stupid rule. VAR has killed off a lot of celebrations anyway.

caution all day long. Nothing to do with her being a womennor what she was or wasn't showing. You can't remove your shirt like that.

It's funny how we associate slow mo with sexualisation. I blame Baywatch.

Don't they call it "excessive celebration"?
