I'm constantly told that I should accept the accuracy and excellence of the Daily Mail.
However, since I'm capable of critical thinking, I can't.
My mind is open to the possibilities that the issues explored in this podcast could be accurate; since they are examined by economists - not tabloid journalists.

Oh dear you’ve posted a BBC link!
See the usual suspects moan about how left wing the BBC is, marvel at there upset about the TV license. See how they wish its was abolished.

economists? they are on the whole, just as politically agenda driven as journalists. people would be wiser to give less credence to an industry where rountine failure shapes political policy with such devastating affect. |

I read the DM but I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone nor would I suggest it is fully accurate. It is useful for highlighting a story and then dig for more info elsewhere. |

That's a reasonable point - but I think they're still likely to be more reliable on this issue than the journalists are.
Anyway, give it a listen. It's just an alternative view; nobody has to agree with it. |

Just because it was made for the BBC to air, doesn't mean they had anything to do with its content.
I know you know that - but it's worth pointing out for those who don't understand the BBC is more rigorously policed for bias - and punished for it - than any newspaper. |
