So the 1922 committee are meeting now to discuss now to discuss how they are going to do voting next week. It has been reported they may also probable they are about change the rules So a no confidence vote could take place as soon as this evening.
Boris Johnson has said he will survive another confidence vote, Is he being arrogant or do you think he really can survive this? |

If the present committee are looking at changing the rules and therefore another no confidence motion can be allowed now then Boris is gone..
There was talk I think from Nick Watt the Newsnight journalist who is usually on the money that there was a delegation from the 22 committee who were considering telling Boris privately he should resign now ..
Which he won't so it could happen as you've said op.. |

If he did survive then I know a lot of the older generations who would be natural Tory voters will go LibDem - older relatives of mine already have admitted as much to me - I praised them for doing the right thing |

Agreed and I can't remember who it was But one of the candidates in the recent by elections said Boris had become the conservatives Corbin on the doorsteps. |

"I doubt he will survive now, the numbers will be humiliating if there's a vote and not sure his ego will want that..
Not good for the book to come and the public speaker gigs.."
My biggest concern is he is so arrogant if he gets a sniff this might happen he will just dissolve Parliament. |

Boris being eaten alive in committee meeting right now. It’s cringing.
He’s done for.the attacks and lack of respect show they all know he’s a dead man walking.
Can’t believe he still thinks he should stay. |

Entirely possible but I think his cabinet might not want that, who knows he's an unprecedented and unpredictable PM so could throw all the toys out and drag them all down with him.. |

Trying to take his responses on questions about integrity, honesty and the rule of law with a straight face will be hard.. |

We are now on 31 Resignations, Some of his most senior advisers have told him to leave, He's gone nowhere and he's digging his heels in there is no way this man is going to leave. I very much hope we get this confidence vote this evening, He needs to be brought down. |

the biggest concern is that he doesn't dissolve parliament so another election can take place as soon as possible. |

Wonder who else will stay on the ship as it goes under, certainly Rabb, Conor Burns, Patel and Nadine will but they all know the games up so some will look to their own possible careers post Boris.. |

"I think we will find out within the next hour what the 1922 committee have decided. "
Decided not to change the rules.. but the executive committee is all up for re-election on Monday
So if they don’t force him out tonight.. do the organise a vote of no confidence in their own party to get him to go.. and that would trigger a general election |

Looking like they will change the party rules via the committee 're election so his choices is looking like resign now or be forced out next week. The question then is who will run for leadership next. Tax cuts seem to be on many MP's lips as well as being more like a conservative government |
