Strikes which threatened to cut off most of the UK's gas imports from Norway have been called off.
So, while all this crap is going on in Westminster and Downing St, what contingency plans were in place to the UK loosing Gas supply this week, electricity generation would failed, industry shut down, potential damage to unplanned Gas supply failure with no warning to prepare to shut down equipment that could be damaged by sudden cooling like furnaces.
The UK imports about 50% of its gas and Norway is its biggest supplier making up 77% of imports, ONS data shows.
Yet, the Department for Business had insisted: "The UK has no issues with gas supply."
So, who is telling the truth and if the UK lost 50%, what would have happened as it seems an issue in Norway would bring this country to its knees.
Do we really need a Government so screwed in its own affairs, it's loosing sight of the ball? |
