Will Johnson hide in a fridge?

Will Johnson suddenly have to fly off to the Ukraine again at last minute?

Will Carrie miraculously produce another baby?

Or will Johnson actually turn up + trot out the same old bullshit without answering a single question?

Place your bets now.

Genuinely I think he will show up with a cocky grin and not answer a single question that was actually asked. All the while trying his bumbling charm until he realises it isn't working anymore.

You might well be right.

I think there will be more anger though. And I think Johnson will lose his temper at some point + start ranting.

He’ll turn up and lie and we will all think it’s normal. He’s destroyed the Conservative party so we should be thankful for something. He is a self serving power player, he’s never had the country’s interests at heart. He cares about no one other than himself.

The pub audibly cheered last night when the resignations came in. A pub full of civil servants. Imagine having to work for these people, people are sick of it now.

He got the big decisions right ....

Which means choosing who your staff is, isn't a big decision.

(And he didn't get this worng. He got it horribly wrong)

How to deal with a claim of sexual assualt. Not a big decision.

Whether to be honest with voters.... Not a big decision.

Whether to obey the law, and whether he should allow his staff to break the law.... Not a big decision

But congrats on deciding to help support a world leading university in a fight against a global pandemic. Big decision maybe. Difficult decision. No.

Boris will not attend, he'll be meeting her Majesty to dissolve parliament and call a snap election..

Gives time to paint a bus, write more lies on it and fool some people again..

I am also watching, and it looks to me that he will go today (I am wishing).

The 1922 committee will meet with him today apparently and advise him to resign or face being outed with a rule change.

His answer was 'they will need a flame thrower to get me out'

roll on pmq's

I think boris is the one person who would just announce a snap election out of spite! Heck… if he is going to burn it down then he is going to take everything down with him!!

If there is a sniff he would do it the 1922 would change the rules in a heartbeat

Oh I'm bloody sure he will do it on the way out, it's currently his biggest threat to try and keep his place. Remember that even with rule changes and no confidence votes, the 1922 cannot actually dismiss him. All they can do is ask him to resign. The only persons that can dismiss the prime minister are the prime minister or the queen. He always has the capability of dissolving parliament as his final act, regardless of being told to go by the 1922.

The bluster of Johnson trying to pivot to taxes was worse, IMO, than SKS reading off his punchlines....

If you can't out-debate him off the top of your head, maybe you're not the right person either?

Johnson is desperate + flailing.

More interestingly, cheers of support from his own benches are v muted through a lot of this.

It's clear even now Johnson won't resign. He thinks he can bullshit his way through this scandal too.

I think they've all had enough of him. I think he might be gone in days.

When was it determined that the last election was a "personal mandate" for Boris?

But the piglet has been speared + is bleeding out. I spent most of PMQs watching + listening to the benches behind him. There was v little support for him there.

I genuinely wouldn't put it past jonhson to go nuclear, call a general and then resign at the soonest opportunity to sink the tories for turning their back on him.

To be fair this may just be wishful thinking

The conservative MPs are now split between those that know their career is over without him, and those that know their career is over with him. Unfortunately for all of them, every single one of them hitched their wagon to the Johnson train to even be allowed to stand at the last GE. They are ALL complicit in the crimes of this government, they are all tainted. The squealing pig will take down all of them on his way out of the door.

Boris: had I known these things about him at the time, I would have acted differently. I am a leader for acknowledging I am worng, learning my lessons, and changing

Also Boris: the decisions made by the electorate at the time are absolute and events and new information after afterwards dont count.
