"US accuses UK of exploiting Russia tensions to fish highly prized species
After Russia rejected agreed catch limits, Britain unilaterally licensed boats to hunt toothfish near Antarctica – a move the US says breaches international rules"
Luckily, tules don't apply to us...

"Forgive my ignorance but was has Antarctica, Russia, or the US got to do with Brexit?
Nothing they are just obsessed with it
" I guess it depends whether we were in control of our licences when part of the EU, or of licences were at a EU level.
Don't know either way, and haven't been able to find out from a quick 2-minutes Google.
However pissing off the yanks probably won't help with securing any trade deals and wasn't that part of the brexit upside? |

Isn't the point of Brexit for the UK to apply whatever rules it sees fit?
Our Government certainly seems happy to only apply the ones that they wish to both domestically and internationally... |

US trade deal, total tosh. They buy only what they need from the UK, and we will have to buy all the crap they produce - some deal, more like bent over and shafted.
Currently they are snapping UK defence contractors, considering they consider themselves superior in military hardware, then why the need to buy little england defence firms. Reason is their stuff is crap, and they need the IP in these UK companies. |
