This is a serious suggestion. Afghans who worked for the British Embassy are being beaten and terrorised by the Taliban. Bafflingly the British government say we still can't start processing their asylum requests until a later date. We currently have hundreds of empty hotel rooms booked in Rwanda. Why can't we evacuate the vulnerable ex-embassy staff from Afghanistan and house them in the Rwandan hotels, safe from Taliban persecution, until their applications for British asylum are processed ? |

Very good question and should be done, but it makes sense, and that's something this government lacks.

How would you suggest that we get them out of Afghanistan? |

Afghans were invited here by the government. There's no sense sending them to Rwanda only to bring them back after processing.
Most of the illegals landing on the south coats need to go though. Regardless of what some bigots might say about Rwanda its not that bad a place compared to where they've come from (France). |
