Felt significant enough for its own thread.
When Johnson turned up at St Paul's for the jubilee, he was loudly booed. Bear in mind the watching crowd there would have been flagshaggers + royalists. They are absolutely the last people you'd expect to boo a sitting Tory PM. |

You can fool some of the people all of the time.
You can fool all of the people some of the some.
You know the rest.
Biggest contradiction is that the greatest threat to the Union is celebrating the head of the Union. |

This is the greatest country in the world! Anyone who ever compains should just eff off to North Korea! And I sing all the verses of God save the Queen every morning with my Weetabix while saluting the flag. So should you!

How do you know these people at St Paul’s subscribe to that way of thinking and are simply not enjoying the day?

How do we know people who go to watch football matches are actually football fans?

Not quite sure what you mean by that. I’m sat here in a deckchair at a lovely event and I’m not remotely a royalist or even English. Yet I have joined in with a bow tie in a rather fetching Union Jack pattern.
Seems awfully mean to sneer at them as flagshaggers doesn’t it? |

did you got to St Paul's + wait to cheer the royals in person? Nooooo.
But maybe you're right. Maybe a huge coach party of communists just happened to turn up at St Paul's in time to cheer the royals + boo the PM. Makes perfect sense. |

I think it’s very mean and very sweeping to brand people who turn up to a historical event as flagshaggers.
But then that’s my logic as an objective observer. |

Looking at this crowd, they probably booed him because of the party the night before her husband's funeral. Not a royalist but to see her sat there on her own, was very sad. A complete contrast in attitude and civic duty to the party happy tories. |

I love the defence being being put up by the Johnson loyalists… but it takes a different breed of person to trape their arses into central London on a bank holiday especially since nothing would have been open that early…..

Oh I just thought of 1!
It was all a huge misunderstanding. The royalist crowd was told to bring their own boos. |

Was he given his reading specifically, I wonder? It was from Philippians 4 in the Bible...“Whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure - think about such things.” |

They were not booing. They were shouting 'BOOZE', under the assumption that as this was a work event for Johnson there would be copious amounts of alcohol available to all present. Unfortunately for them, if there was copious amounts of alcohol, this was not shared among the commoners, hence why the calls for booze was louder upon his exit. |

Booing Boris is fair enough as in my opinion he deserves it. What I don't get is why insult the people who were doing the booing |

Fear not everyone - our great leader's arrival and departure at St. Paul's have had all the booing edited out by the BBC so you will now only hear cheering.
The Brexit World has, yet again, put things to rights.
Hail to our glorious leader.
The Ministry of Truth has got everything back under control.

"This isn't true. The BBC website says "boos and cheers for Boris" and you can still hear both on the video clip " I guess we view these things thru our own filters, but that felt hostile to me. I flicked thru to the Harry/Meghan vid... Silence. Then one with Maj coming out on her balcony ... Claps etc.... Now that's how you cheer. Nothing like that with Boris.
Okay maybe there were the odd cheer... But I heard a snigger than that ... And the majority felt negative.
My take anyway. |

Royalists were highly likely to have made their feelings known to Johnson bearing in mind Prince Philips funeral and how Johnson has behaved.
It surprises me that it is surprising to others at the reaction of the royalists yesterday. |

The same clip was shown but the first time you could hear the booing - the 2nd time it was edited out.
People who only saw the 2nd clip will not have heard the booing.
Even the Tory gutter press tried to divert attention to Harry and Megan and said that it was them who were booed.
Believe what you want (as everyone is entitled to do).
Personally, I am not surprised that the BBC has edited out what the government does not want the proletariat to hear.
It would not be first time and it certainly will not be the last.
Orwell was not far off with his view of a dystopian future but who would have though that it was in the UK and now! |

It simply shows a lack of respect on an occasion such as this . Most people just ignore a very vocal minority. They are unable to win at the ballot box which is the only opinion that matters. I am sure that Boris would much rather win an election and be booed by the Boris haters than lose and not be booed .
Luckily most people had enough common sense to keep politics out of the celebrations . |

Reminds me of that simpsons episode when Smithers was asked by Mr Burns whether his film was being booed, and Smithers replied it was boo-urns, boo-urns.
I think the minister of propaganda, nadine Dorries had the same idea, saying to people it was not booing it was the crowd saying boo-ris, boo-ris. |

"Felt significant enough for its own thread.
When Johnson turned up at St Paul's for the jubilee, he was loudly booed. Bear in mind the watching crowd there would have been flagshaggers + royalists. They are absolutely the last people you'd expect to boo a sitting Tory PM.. It is difficult to see why anyone would be in the slightest bit bothered about being booed.
It's hard to tell if you're a troll, a Tory MP, the most indoctrinated human who ever lived or a bot.
No, he's just one of the silent majority who has a different opinion to you. We are legion."
No, you're not. You're the minority. It's the fucked up FPTP electoral system that puts your kind into power, at Westminster, with undeserved majorities. |

"Apparently sadiq khan was cheered what does that say about the crowd? "
Source?
If true then probably means the crowd think he is a good Mayor and Johnson is a crap PM. Nothing more, nothing less. |

It means that the mainly Royalist crowd think that Sadiq Khan is a good Mayor and they think that Johnson deserves boo-ing because he allowed a Party to be held on the eve of Prince Phillip's funeral... or they just Johnson for the gobshite bandit that he really is. |

It's not for all cars...only the congestion charge is universal. The LEZ and ULEZ are emission or size dependent.

Booing seems to be quite the thing these past few weeks. If it’s not football fans at the champions league it’s fans displeasure at the gesture of taking the knee. And of course the PM.
What’s the common factor?
Those who do it do not represent the majority.
Thankfully. |

"Amazing that a thread about Johnson getting roundly booed has become a thread about Khan..."
Its All they do, they cannot stand being ripped from their echo chamber, where everyone and everything agrees with them, like a nodding dog.
They are so flipping indoctrinated that they cannot discern where they begin and where the puppet masters hand ends. |

As a social care worker on national minimum wage even on " Bank Holidays ", whatever they are, I find that quite offensive. To work Monday to Friday is a privilege and "double time" for weekend working hasn't been payed for decades. |

This is bizarre.
You seem to be happy that racists are in a minority at football matches. I'm with you there, but it's sad that there is even 1.
Then you seem to be celebrating the complete apathy of the electorate. With I'm not with you for at all. Image if we had an engaged population who followed what's going on. We wouldn't be in this mess. |

Anyway….to get back on point, Boris is wounded (he got less votes in his favour in the no-confidence vote than Theresa May did) and the forthcoming by-elections may yet prove to be his well deserved undoing. |

"Don't forget as its a bank holiday and they would be paid double time cash in hand to."
As someone who works in social care you can be assured we don't get any incentive let alone double time for bank holidays or weekends. Not even sick pay. A Monday to Friday job role is a privelidged position in this country. |
