"Whatever your politics that is a very good line. Poor old Sir Kier ! "
A clown making a joke, nothing special, whilst he joked and laughed, people were and are suffering, does he give a damn?, does he fuck.
What is utterly stupid is to believe this donkey is an actual leader, if I want jokes I’d go to a comedy show, not in the mother of all Parliaments. |

Sad thing being, the clowns within have turned it into a comedy show. |

"This thread says it all.
It's bizarre how proud Conservative voters are about how easily distracted and misdirected they are.
Sad times. "
Morning Johnny, that's not how I swing at all, I just enjoy a smile and poor old Sir Kier should also. |

Shame someone on the opposition benches (or even those Tories with some backbone) can’t stand up and say...
“Can I ask the honourable member [the PM] why he is such an pathetic ignorant arrogant spiteful self-serving inept lying thieving corrupt buffoon? And them respectfully ask that he do the honourable thing and fuck off!” |

Say that to the lady on the radio who was told to leave the hospital where her husband was because of Covid rules. She went home, her husband died alone overnight. His kids weren’t allowed to attend the funeral because of Covid rules. I wonder if she was amused by the fat slob? |

These type of posts have been going on for weeks.
I have to wonder if you actually know why the rules were put in place in the first place? |

Costa, Dick just bloody stop defending these cunts! There are countless heartbreaking stories of people not being able to be with dying relatives or attend funerals, visit people who were sick and then later died, alone.
Stop trying to excuse or normalise this behaviour simply because the perpetrators are part of your political tribe.
Their behaviour is not acceptable in a decent law abiding society. It shouldn’t matter what colour tie they wear! |

There was no gov restrictions to stop her kids going to the funeral but you get these mp,s on the tv stating they were partying while people couldn't go to their parents funeral (which is blatantly untrue) but no one questions these statements and so people like the person whose post i was referring to believe it then they carry on the lie and others believe it.Some dont let the truth get in the way of a good old whinge. |

And so shouldn't be positioned this way if it is.
However, the tone being set by HMG was to avoid contact etc. There was governmental and therefore societal pressure to put ones needs to one side for the good of the country. Just look at the queen.
So I get if people feel they shouldn't based on all the press conferences etc.
So it's a spit in the eye that they were socialising while the pressers were going on.
"Keep the noise down folks. We are telling the masses not to socialise. Let's at least pretend we are all in this together. Chin chin"

Funerals had max attendance numbers (30 as I recall BUT travelling restrictions were also in place).
You could NOT visit hospitals or care homes to comfort the dying, who died alone. |

Oh and may as well post this from another thread...
Why the need to use whataboutism to justify what Johnson and staff at No10 did? If SKS broke the rules and gets a fine he has said he will resign. Let’s see what happens.
Regardless of what does happen though, IT DOES NOT MAKE IT OK FOR JOHNSON TO HAVE LIED TO PARLIAMENT REPEATEDLY.
And as Hovis said, dates and context matter.
And I’m sorry but anyone trying to claim that a takeaway and a beer while on the road campaigning (working) as a one off is comparable to multiple d*unken parties with people vomiting, fighting and breaking property is either an idiot or trolling. Suitcases of booze, DJ decks! Abusing security and cleaning staff. Simply not remotely comparable! |

Can I just mention that even if they could go to the funeral I’m sure that wasn’t on a wish list. On the more salient point the wife was told to go home and no visitors were allowed to sit at his bedside as he died and that included his wife and kids so to argue the point about the funeral rules is a bit pathetic.
Jumping at a mistaken post is not the same as what happened in Downing Street.
Boris write the rules , Boris broke the rules then Boris lied that he had broken the rules and lied that he knew anything.
As a country labour Tory or Monster Raving Loony Boris is not fit to be our PM and that’s the issue. If you accept a PM can lie and cheat then you are accepting that our democracy isn’t worth anything and it’s a free for all.
Vote Tory if you must I’m fine with that but get Boris out first . He debases the Tory party just as much as the country.

“Nearly 10 million people were unable to attend the funeral of someone they knew during lockdown, according to a new study from the UK’s largest undertaker, which warned that the nation is heading towards a national grief “pandemic”.
In its report, Co-op Funeralcare found Covid-19 restrictions meant that 9.7 million mourners had to stay away from cremations and burials. The figure is based on an estimate that 243,000 funerals went ahead in the UK during lockdown with an average of 10 attendees due to coronavirus rules, compared with 50 in normal times.” |

They clearly didn’t believe the stuff they were putting out that put the fear of God into people. The rules that we thought at the time were daft ( taping off park benches, washing hands while singing happy birthday twice) but we went along with for the common good.
They had no fear of picking up the deadly disease and taking it to their unsuspecting families who thought they were working long hours.
Shame on those at the top that allowed this to happen . |

So now we have that cleared up can I ask...
Do you think:
a) Johnson’s behaviour is acceptable/appropriate for our Prime Minister?
b) Should resign? |

Yet SKS is ruling by Proxy now, the “big slob” can do his standup at the Hammersmith, if he wants to make people laugh, he’d probably get better money considering he said becoming PM meant he took a pay cut.
So joke and laugh all you want, you know it’s over for the Mr Slobby, and more and more of his MP’s are falling away. |

I stand by everything I have said about Johnson and his Cabinet.
Across the various threads you seem to be a defender of them. I assume that reflects your politics (small “p”) or worldview.
So do you think Johnson’s behaviour us acceptable as our Prime Minister?

His behaviour was not acceptable but it is not a resigning issue. Let the Cons Party and/or public decide. I feel exactly same about Bier Korma if he is fined, a FPN is not a big deal, let's crack on with serious issues. |

Please, you know nothing of my politics, or my personal experiences of Covid. Calling people c u next Tuesdays does nothing for debate or general enjoyment of these threads. Peace !
I stand by everything I have said about Johnson and his Cabinet.
Across the various threads you seem to be a defender of them. I assume that reflects your politics (small “p”) or worldview.
So do you think Johnson’s behaviour us acceptable as our Prime Minister?
Should he resign?
Your assumption is wrong.
No and No to your questions.
Why no and no?
His behaviour was not acceptable but it is not a resigning issue. Let the Cons Party and/or public decide. I feel exactly same about Bier Korma if he is fined, a FPN is not a big deal, let's crack on with serious issues."
Interesting. So what about repeatedly lying about it to Parliament? Does that not bring into question what else he has lied about? Would it not be the honourable thing to do and resign? |

"“Nearly 10 million people were unable to attend the funeral of someone they knew during lockdown, according to a new study from the UK’s largest undertaker, which warned that the nation is heading towards a national grief “pandemic”.
In its report, Co-op Funeralcare found Covid-19 restrictions meant that 9.7 million mourners had to stay away from cremations and burials. The figure is based on an estimate that 243,000 funerals went ahead in the UK during lockdown with an average of 10 attendees due to coronavirus rules, compared with 50 in normal times.”Im not doubting that at all but to say children were not allowed at their parents funerals in England is a blatant lie and im glad that someone is doing their research instead of believing the bullshit that some do.
So now we have that cleared up can I ask...
Do you think:
a) Johnson’s behaviour is acceptable/appropriate for our Prime Minister?
b) Should resign?" Its a no and no for me. |

So both Costa and Dick think Johnsons behaviour was not acceptable but also do not think he should resign.
That’s your view but I am bewildered. That just normalises lying and law breaking in the highest office in the land. How and why should the citizens of this country be required to act lawfully if the man at the top doesn’t?
It just shows how the slow and steady drip drip drip of questionable behaviour over time becomes acceptable. It is symptomatic of a continued fall in the standards of behaviour our law makes should be held to.
Bizarre! |

"Costa, Dick just bloody stop defending these cunts! There are countless heartbreaking stories of people not being able to be with dying relatives or attend funerals, visit people who were sick and then later died, alone.
Stop trying to excuse or normalise this behaviour simply because the perpetrators are part of your political tribe.

If any of Johnsons relatives had died the rules would have applied to him just the same as anyone else. No undertaker would have risked prosecution just to organise am illegal funeral.
Only a relatively small minority who are Boris haters are concerned with what happened at Downing Street. It is a work place. It is not as if anyone external to the work place was asked . The attendance of Boris at most of the events was minimal. Most people recognise what a difficult job it was running the country during a time of a national crisis.
Maybe ask the relatives of the deceased . You would probably find that they simply accepted the rules and were extremely greatfull for all the government help during the crisis . The PPE crisis was addressed promptly, financial support was extensive and many people did very well during Covid as a result of furlough .
People who strive to help others in life judge people on their successes , not on an after works drink .. |

This is not true. People nudge people kn their behaviour in general. Not on kne sole factor or whether they post “this” without any substance (which btw only idiots do because they cannot formulate their own arguments).
And if you think I’m wrong - then why has AB had to sell Chelsea. After all he did nothing but good fir their football performance?

That’s a lovely little story but a waste of calories spent typing the words as they simply do not reflect how the “silent majority” are feeling. You love quoting polls, but only those in the Daily Heil, but all polls run in recent weeks show that the majority are not accepting of Johnson and gangs behaviour and believe he should resign.
I have read/seen plenty of quotes from angry people who could not spend time with dying relatives, parents, siblings, partners and children, who are disgusted by Johnson’s behaviour. Not seen one solitary quote in support apart from people who have not suffered in the same way.
And it seems a growing number of Conservative MPs feel the same way and have written requesting Johnson resigns. Are they “Boris haters” too? |

"It was pathetic namecalling by a pathetic little man. A tragic sign of just how far into the gutter Johnson has dragged us.
Year Two Primary playground talk..
Childish baboon he is..
Ah Fun Boy, it's all part of life's rich comedy ! Be more Kier, have a beer and chill.
Say that to the lady on the radio who was told to leave the hospital where her husband was because of Covid rules. She went home, her husband died alone overnight. His kids weren’t allowed to attend the funeral because of Covid rules. I wonder if she was amused by the fat slob? Why couldn't her kids attend the funeral how many did they have? The restrictions on numbers was down to the venue and the social distancing, churches were shut for a while but graveside services were going on which was easy to social distance. "
It was an actual interview with a live person on radio 4. She sounded very reasonable and just like a normal human being rather than a political one so I suggest you listen to it rather than disrespecting her pain. |

Boris fancies himself an emperor and surrounds himself with second rate cronies who he plays like a fiddle making them debase themselves to defend him - classic narcissistic behaviour! Personally I think he is more like flash man of Tom browns schooldays and the later books - a bully, blaggard and a coward.
I mean to say, how many prime ministers hide from the press in fridges? |

Clearly Boris hasn't given a fuck about British people from day one. His behaviour has been abhorrent.
I don't see why he should resign. He's been lying, cheating and fucking over the country since day one. Why should this make any difference, people will continue voting for him and his party no matter what. |

We do know he lied about Angela Raynor being at his social, and the numbers there, and not being able to eat at his hotel.
Looking at his red face he either likes a drink or needs a new sunbed.
I don't think he should resign for a 50 FPN. No body should, it's not a criminal conviction. |

He didn’t lie, he was assured the rules hadn’t been broken (Boris excuse )
He was ambushed by Angela Rayner
He was ambushed by a bottle of beer
He was only there for 12 mins 32 seconds
Is having a red face really proof that you ‘like a drink ‘
Is ‘liking a drink ‘ a bad thing’ ?

Modus operandi with Johnson throughout his career. Always trying to postpone scrutiny or kick things into the long grass hoping bu the time it eventually comes around people have forgotten, grown tired of it, or are focused elsewhere.
We were told months ago, wait for Sue Grey report before discussing, then wait for Met investigation, then wait until after war in Ukraine, then wait again for the Sue Grey report and now, wait for the Standards & Ethics committee.

What I don’t get is that Johnson is clearly not really a Tory. His ideology is completely fluid and opportunistic. His priority is only himself and he has repeated form of jumping on populist policy if it helps him get what he wants. For example, He was a remain supporter then switched as saw an opportunity!
Tory MPs are asking for his resignation. People I would call “proper Tories”.
The Conservative Party has been hijacked by the far right (in scared response to UKIP) and also a bunch of self serving thieving populist bastards.
One of the “funniest” things is how certain folks on here are always attacking or ridiculing “socialists” and “socialist policies” and yet as shown during the pandemic and now the cost of living crisis, THIS government (who again I will say are not really Tories) have enacted schemes that are highly socialist in nature! Oh the irony! |

"So a former Labour MP is convicted of threatening to acid someone and it's silence from the Boris Bashers ! We see your fake outrage.
‘Former’ , anyway, no one cares, time to move on "
A Boris Basher says it: get elected as Labour MP, threaten to throw acid in a woman's face, but we don't care |

Whataboutism!!!!!
I doubt anyone supports a person threatening an acid attack regardless of the colour of their tie! It doesn’t even need to be said does it? |

"Strange how the Boris bashers don't want to address the subject of the thread, poor old Beer Starmer and his lies...
I thought the point of this thread is to highlight how easily Conservative voters can be distracted from the real issues?
We have been addressing it.
No the thread is about poor Beer Starmer. Did he lie about his booze up? Is he drinking too much?
Should he resign if fined. No answers so far !
We don’t know if he lied,
we don’t know if he is drinking to much
yes he should resign if he is fined
We do know he lied about Angela Raynor being at his social, and the numbers there, and not being able to eat at his hotel.
Looking at his red face he either likes a drink or needs a new sunbed.
I don't think he should resign for a 50 FPN. No body should, it's not a criminal conviction.
But lying, repeatedly to Parliament, is an issue that should be resigned over. It raises doubt over integrity, honesty and morality. All things that are a minimum requirement that the electorate should expect of the highest office in the land.
We all deserve better, no matter what colour tie they wear.
The die hard tories don’t care, they will defend and defer to their leaders because they know their place. It is the ‘floating voter’ who will ultimately decide the Tories fate at the next GE and they are turning away from them , there will be more hardships , more U turns and more scandals to come in the next few years if Boris is in charge
" I agree he is not a proper Tory but far right? You must be having a laugh he is more a green. |

Boris is as far from a green as humanly possible.
Just because he's not destroying the planet as fast as you want him to, doesn't put him anywhere near the greens.
His priorities are making the ultra rich and big corporations, richer, at the expense of British people. That's pretty much the political definition of very far to the right. |

Did he lie about Raynor ? Or was this an unnamed labour spokes person
How many people were there versus how many he said ? Remember the gotcha was a £200 curry bill which, if it included drinks, is tiny for the 30 ppl sometimes quoted.
Where was he and his team at 8:40?
Even if he was at his hotel, I'm sure that 30 ppl rocking up 20 mins before kitchens closed would be loved. Would they even be able to get past having a starter ?
The odd bit about all this is the gotchas seem more to favour SKS than go against him.

*sigh* SKS has stated that if he gets fined he will resign. So we shall see.
But on what planet is there equivalence with what happened at No10. Multiple parties over a prolonged period under a variety of lockdown rules. Context matters.
In some ways I hope he does resign and Labour pull in someone like Andy Burnham. Really go back to their roots. Say it as it is. Create a clear and distinct choice for normal people. Never know, it might even embolden real Tories to try and pull the Conservatives back towards the centre right ground and kick out the current crop of crooks!

I will say this about Sir Beer, his parties look a lot more fun than BJ's. I always thought Johnson was the party animal but his get togethers look dull as fuck while Sir Beer is knocking back the San Miguel and Biryianis. Add in Angela Rayner singing the Red Flag and they're rocking! |

Not enacted yet in some cases but the list includes:
- Taking control over the Electoral Commission
- The Police & Crime Bill (making protest virtually impossible and certainly impotent/useless)
- The Govt being able to overrule the Judiciary reducing scrutiny, reducing power of Judicial Review and ultimately independence of one of the three fundamental pillars of democracy
- Removal of fixed term parliaments
- Intention to pull out of the Human Rights Act (Dominic Raab)
Etc etc |

Its what privilege entitles our great leader to do. So what if he wants you to do as he says, not as he does, he is the great leader who gave us Brexit.
Pluck that.

Oh dear you don’t understand how the honours list works do you? Or why someone from any background might get made a Sir!
Seems like Johnson has not done anything that merits or deserves a knighthood!
It is a person’s background that indicates privilege or what they deem their social standing is.
Remind me who went to Eton? Johnson or Starmer? |

Entry to Eton is competitive and thus only boys with high potential may be awarded a place. Aristocratic or privileged backgrounds are no longer necessary requirements for entry. An increasing number of pupils from disadvantaged backgrounds are now able to apply and receive funding. |

Lol an inferiority complex me! So far from the the truth but the only way to really counter that would be to reveal more about myself than I want to on a swinger website. Suffice to say my earnings put me in the top 1% of the country and my qualifications are far in excess of BoJo.
More than familiar how private schools work thanks very much. The point being made was about privilege, and it is an inarguable fact that Eton, Harrow, Marlborough, Winchester etc etc instil a sense of entitlement that those predisposed to having a superiority complex will absorb and embrace. Some more than others as revealed by BoJo’s own headmaster.
My original point remains. Being made a Sir in return for your actions is not the same as being part of the privileged set. One tends to be earned, the other is by accident of birth. |

Just for the record there are hundreds if not thousands of trucks still standing idle due to a lack of truck drivers . When a working truck reaches its sell by date they are using the idle trucks as new ( shorthairs of new are also an big issue due to pets supply) and the old spare is exported to the likes of Africa
The governments solution to freeing up capacity was to abandon testing caravan drivers . That should be fun then. Also outsourcing reversing which is approximately 5 mins of the hour long test . Yes that should do it! Ha ha

"Labour MP Claudia Webbe has been charged with a harassment offence. Picture: PA “I’m not mad, I’m a member of parliament.” An MP who threatened to throw acid at her partner’s female friend and send naked photos of her to her family has been found guilty of harassment.

The judge said the court found Webbe had not "made a threat to throw acid over" Ms Merritt but that a string of silent phone calls and threats to reveal naked pictures of her had been "a course of conduct which amounted to harassment".
I know you are ing. But the acid bit isn't true. The nudes, yes. There's plenty of ammo to hit her with. |
