"It was very sad to see a young boy there alone facing life imprisonment.
There is no excuse for what he did but it saddens me." he will more than likely released as part of a prisoner exchange deal .expect a tit for tat conviction soon of one of the azov steelworks defenders for being a "nazi" and war criminal both will be bargaining chips during peace negotiations . |

Why? Did he have to shoot a civilian in the back of the head? |

"Should put a sack over his head and hit him and anyone else convicted, with a firing squad or let the family do it.
Nothing to feel sad about then!"
So you want to punish a war crime with another war crime? |

Only one slight little wrinkle in youre plan, the matter of the 100's of ukrainian soldiers the russians are holding.
What do you expect to be the result of that ? |

Yes, they'd probably, unjustly get the same although not for murdering civilians.
Azov fighters will face unfair kangaroo courts, God only knows the sentence they'll receive for simply defeding the homeland. |

Whilst Russia are definitely the aggressor and will have committed war crimes on both soldiers and civilians in great numbers I’m sure there will be the odd Ukraine disgraceful behaviour too.
Personally I think this was just political to warn the Russian soldiers. I’m not sure though that it wasn’t a backward step for the Ukraine propaganda machine.
Swift show trial of a guy who’s no doubt guilty but looks like a child. Maybe they should have waited to line up some ugly grizzled looking soldiers for their first show trial.
Tit for tat will follow and it will result in sweeping up innocents into prisons for years. |

He's 21, no child and fully aware of his actions. Others have run over with tanks or shot their commanders when told to behave the same way.
Yes, it was to show others that should they do the same, get caught and face life.
Nothings clear cut in War. |

I didn’t say he was a child I said he looks like a child . If he committed the crime then he pays as following orders is no excuse. It was however poor propaganda. |

"Seems Russian commanders are also 'finishing off' their own injured instead of giving them a chance to live.
Most injuries are immobilisation and they'd be shot if can't walk."
Dead soldiers can’t tell the truth. |
