Tories might be realising they can't push Starmer to resign
Jump to: Newest in thread
"Because if Starmer resigns over 1 beer with a curry, how the hell can they save Johnson who has been the king of party central?"
It makes no difference if Starmer resigns of not.
Conservative voters, on the whole, don't care, they will vote for Boris and the Tories no matter what. |

"Sounding a bit bitter ?
Do you want Starmer to resign?
No I don’t see any value in Starmer resigning but maybe just acknowledge that they might have overstepped the mark a bit might be nice "
He should resign if fined, do you think the daily mail have gone over the top ? Especially as they kept stating that there is ‘war on’? |

It was starmer who set the standard of resignation because boris was under investigation not the other way round simple. |

Boris is also hypocrite?? But that’s ok?So Starmer will look ‘worse’ because he has done (if fined) the exact same thing as Boris ? Interesting |

"Hmmm I wonder what Johnson would see as a resigning offence. Anything at all?"
He would only be made to resign if he posed a risk to the Tories getting reelected.
As we can see from the Conservative voters who post on here. They simply do not give a fuck about what he does and says, they will vote for him regardless.
So why would he resign? |

No they are not all as bad as each other. You're buying into the narrative the Tories want you to believe. Because if they're all as bad as each other, effectively Johnson is off the hook... |

Im not a massive fan of Boris, Starmer spent time at PMQ's telling Boris to go when there is far more important things going on, i suspect because Starmer has nothing to offer, at least Boris is trying to do the day job, i wonder what influence Joy Allen will have on the police investigation, and Boris has apologised. |

The situation is all rather funny.
Tories, desperate to deflect from Partygate, pushed Beergate as they knew they were gonna get a kicking in local elections.
Now when Starmer has said he'll actually stand down if fined, those same Tories are gonna have to run around + say they don't think Stamer should stand down over a fine. (Because their leader has done much worse than Starmer - and that's even if Starmer is found to have done anything wrong.) |
