Sunak just said our shit trading rate might be down to Brexit. He tried to waffle his way out of it afterwards. But check out the spiffing graph of well we're doing compared to the rest of the world:

In other news, Brexit apparently delayed pandemic plans. That story's on the BBC so it can be read more easily.
Brexit: the turd that can't be polished. |

I thought they did well using covid as the main deflection from the brexit clusterfuck.
And they achieved their main pandemic aims, using it to line the pockets of their party donors, friends and neighbors.

I don't know. But anyone who votes Tory in the next election fully endorses and supports a government that parties, laughs at us, and gets rich while the people they're supposed to represent died of covid.
The Conservative voters on here either.
1. Blame Labour.
2. Pretend it's not happening.
3. Change the subject.
Which is why I have not much hope for anything better at the next election. Just more of the same shit. |

Oops forgot this one...
They always knew that this would happen and didn't vote based on an economic improvement or to improve society but voted to get away from being controlled by an unelected beaurocratic parliament in Brussels with the preference to being controlled by a goverment that is in power due to a system that allows a party with a minority vote (per head of population) to have a majority of 80 seats in parliament and which is kept in check by a governing body where the members are either heredity or awarded their place by the goverment who happens to be in power.
Yet still - those who voted for this will say, in total honesty( and I really believe this to be the case), that given the opportunity again, they would still vote to leave the EU.
Stuff the consequences - it is better to be out than in.
However, we live in a democratic society (do we?) and surely it can only get better...can't it? |

Being governed is not "democratic" if you do not agree or wish to be governed. |

Feel free to check any of the many polls taken that show the majority now think Brexit is a bad idea or is going badly. |

Ok I'll bite.
Perhaps like you they have an opinion that cannot be changed and they realise it's pointless arguing with people who have their own opinions that can't be changed!
Kinda like bashing your head against a brick wall so to speak.
And please don't make assumptions regards my opinion on Brexit.

I was thinking about these hundreds of dodgy Russians we are now sanctioning in the U.K, Am I missing something or have they been tolerated because of their generosity to the Tory party?
If we knew they were Putin supporters all this time why did we continue for years to help them launder their money and therefore fe-enforce Putin’s hold? I’m sure someone will say we’ve only just found them.
How can our years of support for them be good for this country? |

Surely any intelligent reading of the facts regardless of how they voted can show everyone it’s a mess and bad for the country. Why do they not read the facts? What enforces their blinkered view? Do they just refuse to accept reality because they can’t accept they have been conned? Also if they care about the country as they repeatedly claim they should be at the front of the queue shouting,,, Oi Boris & Mogg this is not even close to what you promised! |

There is a difference though.
One side of the argument look at what's happening in real life. Actual information.
The other side have belief and faith in something with no evidence, just rhetoric. |

How patriotic, eh? |
