"Has any one else noticed govt ministers and spokes people no longer refer to to the minimum wage but keep using the term living wage which is actualy a higher amount" Probably because the minimum wage only applies to under 23 y/o where as the living wage refers to people over 23 y/o

Or is it that one is a legal requirement whilst the other is a guideline. They can spout about the guideline which makes better headlines but it has fl all impact on business.
Is it really a minimum wage or the default that removes competition as all bottom of the ladder jobs seem to pay more or less the same with very little variance.
