Dow anyone really think Russia has come to seriously talk?

I don’t think it’s gong to go well because the Russian stance it that Ukraine disarms and we know what that would lead to

I can’t see the talks lasting the day

If putin is not there in the talks they might be able to talk some sense into the russian delegation they must by now realize they have a madman in charge.

The talks will be about the dpr and lpr regions that have been under threat for 8 years. That is the reason why the Russian federation moved in and pushed back.

Maybe. Zelensky has to try talking though. If there's anything he can do to protect his people from further death and destruction, he has to try it.

Hopefully, he'll get a ceasefire and maybe further talks.

I don't believe that will happen, sadly - but the argument that surrender is not an option he may have to consider is ridiculous.

And it's only usually made by idiots from the safety of their own, comfortable living rooms, unthreatened with death.

Much of the world surrendered to the forces of the British Empire - they're all free now. The same with Europe under the Nazis and Eastern Europe under the Soviet Union.

You can come back from surrender - but not annihilation, if you don't know when to quit.
