It's hard to believe he is just a comedian and social media celebrity.
Although refusing to engage with established ukraine/russia media might have hurt his standing in Russia/Belarus etc, it helped him engage with the people tearing the system down, and to meet world leaders as a verified leader of the popular movement.
I have enjoyed how he is handling the invasion by doing videos from the streets to show us he has not fled.
I understand why people flee, but I don't like it. |

He has really stepped up to the plate and has surprised many around the world as someone who is standing with his people
Much higher regarded than the coward Putin who is hiding in his own country surrounded by security directing hapless soldiers many of who never actually realised they were going to war until it was too late to turn around.

Ukraine and the USA were the only 2 countries to vote against a Un resolution condemning the glorification of nazism. I ask the question why.  |

There is that sentiment, all the same, all the same, like its some get out clause to excuse behaviour. Not all Politicians are the same, not all Russians support Pootin, Not all Tories act like Boris, Not all Labour MP's are crazed nutters like Corbyn. All we hear from the cynics is this lazy trope, get serious. In grown up world you need to build consensus, if you cannot then you're doomed to fail. |
