The French allow the people smugglers to send people in dinghies across the channel. They do not stop them at all. The only reason the come to the UK is for free housing/benefits/healthcare etc. send them back!

Jean Castex - Macron is President.

Anyway, the problem is sorted as Boris tells us we have taken back control of our borders.

The French & rest of Europe certainly have as I can only spend 90 out of 180 days there.

Until about four years ago I was in and out of Europe every week for work. Now I’m

About to retire I want to spend seven months there. I’d also like my kids to have the same option as all others in Europe.

Of course he would say that as he cant control his own boarders this is what was on france 24 today.

"We must reform Schengen," he said. "There can be no freedom of movement if we do not control our external borders."

France has also proposed an emergency response mechanism that could be triggered when the bloc's external borders are under threat.

In a way he is right. This has been going on for decades and the British Govt have shown no real interest in stopping it. To politicians, immigration controlled or not simply increases their choice of ethnic restaurants and reduces the cost of their nannies and other domestic help / servants. They don’t give a fuck otherwise.

There are currently 37,000 migrants on temporary accommodation costing the taxpayer over one million per day. Priti Patel is telling local authorities to make permanent accommodation available which is council housing, bouncing British people off the waiting list. Is that fair? She has done nothing other than ease things for Indian people to work or study here, she is of course of Indian heritage.

Decades of showing that we cannot manage a short length of coastline simply encourages more poor souls to chance their luck , and of course draws the scum that seek to profit from them.

Meanwhile we send troops to help in Lithuania and Ukraine.

Macron is right, it is the fault of the English.

His wife is ‘hot’ by the way.

Incorrect, they want to come here, they are entitled to ‘apply’ for asylum here and it is impossible to stop them all from trying to get here. The solution, provide safe passage, no more dinghy’s, no more criminal gangs , any reason why you would appose this solution?

They should lose any right to ‘claim’ potential asylum if caught trying to enter illegally.

On the next P&O ferry back to Calais or a naval ship. Charged for the cost and landed in France with full publicity so the message quickly travels back.

It is impossible, you do realise it is their choice where they apply for asylum? The vast majority stay in France and mainland Europe, why are you so against them coming here?

No, I don’t agree with him, do you believe (like Tom) that the French can’t be trusted, you know I blame the french for this they don’t even try to stop this it’s disgusting of them

Your worse than Farage, lol, the French are offering a solution that guarantees their safety, you should educate yourself and stop listening to right wing propaganda do should you have you not seen the french police waching them board rubber dinghys ?

That one video? Surely if they are doing this all the time there must be 100s more, btw, the French are proposing a solution that guarantees their safety, do you agree that their safety is the most important factor here? yes I do and the best way to do that is stop them getting in the boats don’t you agree they can’t drown on land ?

Incorrect, they want to come here, they are entitled to ‘apply’ for asylum here and it is impossible to stop them all from trying to get here. The solution, provide safe passage, no more dinghy’s, no more criminal gangs , any reason why you would appose this solution? they are also entitled to apply in France aswell as the other countries they have passed through and to say it’s impossible for the french to stop them is embarrassing mate

It is impossible, you do realise it is their choice where they apply for asylum? The vast majority stay in France and mainland Europe, why are you so against them coming here? "

so why don’t they do it the legal way why rust there children’s lives when they can stay in any country they have traveled through do you really think it’s so they can live near a cousin or uncle ?

"Not sure I trust the French or their Prime Minister

Which of "the French" don't you trust?

This Macron is said to be courting opinion to win his next election. To blame the English is unfair. They have a leader telling lies to get elected.

My heart is against borders and as I think you all know I want the ‘right’ to travel freely around Europe. Something I will never forgive the BJ at no10 for taking away from me and my kids.

Why are we against tens of thousands of young men coming here with no passports , money, no ID. Young men from a different continent & culture, when we have no idea of their backgrounds or criminal activity- if any of course? No means of housing themselves. A new life in a different climate that they will quickly realise doesn’t offer what they thought.

It’s hardly fair on them. Sadly only actions will stop the increasing flow.

Let me repeat this , they are ‘entitled’ to claim asylum in the UK not the first safe country, they ‘want’ to come here , maybe they don’t like the food in France (like Tom suggested) maybe they are anti EU, maybe they have heard how amazing the UK is after Brexit, maybe it is for non of these reasons. Once they get here they apply for asylum, if they don’t meet the requirements they will be denied. Providing safe passage means they will be forced to apply rather than coming here on dinghy’s and some of them disappearing

The vast majority stay in France and mainland Europe, why are you so against them coming here? so why don’t they do it the legal way why rust there children’s lives when they can stay in any country they have traveled through do you really think it’s so they can live near a cousin or uncle ?

Tbh, it is irrelevant why they want to come here, they are legally entitled to ‘apply’ for asylum here , why are you so against them coming here? im against them comeing illegally like anyone or anything that’s what a border is otherwise no point in them

They are legally entitled to come here, they are currently being forced to cross the channel because they don’t have an alternative, provide them with safe passage so the french are forcing them to risk the lives of there children they are legally entitled to stay in France or any other safe country

I thought you would be faltered that people are literally risking their lives to get here . Btw, most of them stay in France and mainland Europe .

Most of them stay in their home country with their families. "

They might be happy there? They might have no other option? They might be being prevented from leaving? Why is they relevant to the people who don’t want to leave? Have you seen what is happening in Afghanistan

Which of "the French" don't you trust?

This Macron is said to be courting opinion to win his next election. To blame the English is unfair. They have a leader telling lies to get elected.

Sacre bleu, I must admit, I am not overly keen on macron but I do like the French and France, you should go and visit Tom,

yer yer but do you agree with macron that it’s the english fault ???

No, I don’t agree with him, do you believe (like Tom) that the French can’t be trusted, you know I blame the french for this they don’t even try to stop this it’s disgusting of them

Your worse than Farage, lol, the French are offering a solution that guarantees their safety, you should educate yourself and stop listening to right wing propaganda do should you have you not seen the french police waching them board rubber dinghys ?

Reading

My late wife was from an Asian country. So went there many times. Her family were well off. Owned businesses . When speaking to other family members . I was regarded as very well off. Because yes own house , car and went there for some holidays, plus holidays in other parts of the world. Nearly 75% said wanted to go and live in UK. Mainly due to NHS, Free schools , housing . Trying to explain to most about cost of living in UK fell on deaf ears. The last time I was there , diesel here was £1.25 per litre . There they were complaining as it just had hit 25p this using currency conversion. So people from other countries only see and hear what they perceive as how good the UK is ? So think all in UK have better lifestyle.

I’ve only seen what the mainstream TV news shows and I’m not proud of our involvement. They can seek refuge in Pakistan perhaps?

Anyway, the majority of the young men landing on beaches seem to be more of Black African appearance. Just an observation by the way. Anyone of any appearance arriving illegally without ID should not be allowed to stay.

Not sure it was the Fault of BJ. It was a democratic referendum

It was his fault. As has been proven recently and was already known to many, he is a man without principles, believes in nothing, lies through his teeth. He picked up on a populist sentiment , dressed it with false promises and mis- sold it. I don’t buy the argument that all who voted Brexit are thick racists , in fact I hate that suggestion. But they were brazenly lied to and taken in by a posh boy snake oil seller. When I say ‘posh boy snake oil seller’ I really mean a cunt.

It wouldn’t surprise me if some were happy to see the back of us. Luckily France has been spared of the worst that we offer as the lager lout lot moved on to Spain or Eastern Europe decades ago. There is far more that unites than divides us though and I’ve always felt welcome there. Other than in Paris of course but even the French struggle with Parisians. I took a female friend to France back in 2018. Nudging 60 but she had never been, she was shocked at the friendly reception she received and kept commenting on it. She simply couldn’t believe the French were so nice. Mind you, she’s from Yorkshire. Tom would be shocked also. Although I suspect he is a closet Francophile?

That is true, the French are lovely people and probably relived that some (approximately 17.4million) British people are unable to freely live there. I find it helps if you wear a ‘I didn’t vote for Brexit badge ‘ when in France if you want a warm welcome , although that is usually unnecessary if you are well dressed as they automatically assume you are a remain voter

"Not sure I trust the French or their Prime Minister

Which of "the French" don't you trust?

This Macron is said to be courting opinion to win his next election. To blame the English is unfair. They have a leader telling lies to get elected.

The vast majority stay in France and mainland Europe, why are you so against them coming here? so why don’t they do it the legal way why rust there children’s lives when they can stay in any country they have traveled through do you really think it’s so they can live near a cousin or uncle ?

The legal way? they don’t have pass ports, cash cards, bank accounts , why do you think they are having to pay criminal gangs?

My heart is against borders and as I think you all know I want the ‘right’ to travel freely around Europe. Something I will never forgive the BJ at no10 for taking away from me and my kids.

Why are we against tens of thousands of young men coming here with no passports , money, no ID. Young men from a different continent & culture, when we have no idea of their backgrounds or criminal activity- if any of course? No means of housing themselves. A new life in a different climate that they will quickly realise doesn’t offer what they thought.

It’s hardly fair on them. Sadly only actions will stop the increasing flow.

Not sure it was the Fault of BJ. It was a democratic referendum

Tbh, I have heard that French are delighted that the certain people from Britain are now prevented from freely living in France, apparently they don’t trust the m and Boris and are claiming their food is horrendous and stinks ( apparently )

That is true, the French are lovely people and probably relived that some (approximately 17.4million) British people are unable to freely live there. aw right so what ya really saying is only remain dress well leavers are scruffs ye do you tell the people you claim to volunteer helping you know the homeless that they are scruffs mate ? Tbf France as nothing to offer me I prefer Spain ???? so I couldn’t give a fuck what they think of the brits lol

"I don’t buy the argument that all who voted Brexit are thick racists"

No, but ALL thick racists voted Brexit and the result proves they're in the majority...

As for "I hate the French" or "The French can't be trusted" nonsense, I simply ask: "What, all of them?" Believe it or not, some people actually reply "Yes", to which I say: "Oh, you speak French and know all of them then?" and walk away.

This thread has been hijacked..

It's not about migrants.

It's about Monsieur Macron blaming the English to gain political favour ....

He is a rascal who wants to be king of his castle by treading all over the English...

Some say he wants to be the President of the EU. Like Tony Bliar, I hope his french cunning plan fails...

"This thread has been hijacked..

It's not about migrants.

It's about Monsieur Macron blaming the English to gain political favour ....

He is a rascal who wants to be king of his castle by treading all over the English...

Some say he wants to be the President of the EU. Like Tony Bliar, I hope his french cunning plan fails...

"

Why are you getting so upset ? The sun will shine tomorrow, it will be another day

All of the French? You can’t blame Patrick Viera (he is French) as he lives and works in London

Maybe Macron is scared that when the UK economy collapses into recession due to Brexit, the migrants will find France a better place to settle. It would have to be one hell of a recession to make them change their minds. I visited Sedan a few years ago, I thought they were in recession the place was so run down. Nice castle though.

"Did he say why it's the English fault?

Because our economy relies on low paid illegal migrants was one reason he apparently gave

Which unfortunately it does"

yes - because it's a piece of piss to get any job that's advertised even if you don't have proof of eligibility to work in the uk.

Fuck me - the level of delusion in some cunts is off the scale

I don’t understand why we don’t interview the immigrants in the British Embassy in Paris.

Then if they pass we give them a visa - allowing them to come to UK by Eurostar. Cheaper and much safer!

It would appear to be surprisingly easy to get work without the right permissions to do so. Obviously these jobs are not being advertised on Indeed or wherever. They are cash in hand jobs, in restaurant/take away kitchens, in nail salons, in car washes, in brothels or all manner of places. They're also exactly the right place for a spot of exploitation and abuse, exactly because these are off the record jobs. Boss makes you work 7 days a week without a break? Who are you going to complain to? Boss withholds you cash in hand payment (below min wage, obviously)? Who will you tell? Boss expects you to sleep with men for money when you thought it was something else? Who's there to tell?

Unfortunately, illegal sources of labour do exist in the UK and they're more obvious than we realise. Pretending it's not there would be to go around with blinkers on.

Does this happen in France also. I wonder if they have similar unscrupulous employers. We call it the black economy. I wonder if the French call it l'economie noir
