None of us like to think of the police as corrupt. It goes against our disappearing view of living in a society that’s fundamentally honest.
Our view of MPs of all colours is they are the lowest morally in our society ( violent crime excluded) so we’re not surprised to find corruption. Sad but true. |

"The Police or the Prime Minister?
I guess we are about to find out.
Who pays who?"
Some police are corrupt. But no one touches the PM on sleaze, corruption, nepotism, and lies. He's head and shoulders above. |

"Some people from all walks of life are corrupt. I fail to see how that makes it acceptable to slag off all police officers"
Who is more corrupt? The PM or the police , |

PM is one person so I don't see the relevance. Everyone that slags off the police is always happy to receive their help when required. I think it's disgraceful the amount of grief they get |

"I find the suggestion that the police are corrupt utterly disgusting"
I would agree that not all are, got friends and one family member in that job and they're good people trying to do a very difficult job on all our behalf despite being cut by this Tory government..
There are corrupt coppers, just as there are corrupt people in other walks of life.. |

"Finding a straight copper. Is like trying to find a straight banana in a supermarket."
It was the straight ones who put some of the corrupt ones inside once the anti corruption units were set up..

Corruption is not the problem it is the acceptance of corruption that is the problem."
To a point yes but the assumption of corruption is also an issue |

"I find the suggestion that the police are corrupt utterly disgustinghahahahahahahaha oh your being serious
Damn right I am"
Some police are most certainly corruptible. Many more are not. Just like any system/organisation. The bigger the game the higher the stakes. That’s all.
The example being set from the very top is one of lies, manipulation and slight of hand being a pathway to riches. Would it be utterly surprising that others in wider society think for a moment they might like a slice of that action too? |

"In fairness, it's not the fault of regular coppers what their boss does or doesn't do.
Johnson and Dick, though, I'm not exactly a fan of that pair."
I have known coppers from both camps. They're great at smoothing things over.
However, I can't help wondering, is "Dick Johnson" a real person? |
