"No agreement has been reached.
France wanted an additional 104 licences, and got 23. They may get another 7 on Monday.
Produce the required evidence, and a licence gets issued. Simple really. " |

"The desperation of Tory supporters is brilliant"
What desperation? It’s simply process, French fishermen produce the relevant documents and get a fishing licence
They are just trying to rush things through!!!
The ones who have produced the documentary evidence have already gotten licences to fish

I think the figure is actually 80 with another 80 to follow.
Meanwhile it's being reported that UK has accepted role of ECJ in northern Ireland. |

In fairness it is mentioned on the bbc but all the sources are from the European side and the only statement from the UK or frost is to the contrary of those reports so it may well just be wish full thinking by some European media outlets, guess time will tell on this one. I agree with the statement from both sides on the need to sort out the medicines issue though as I have a family member in NI that is having serious issues getting there medication for a critical illness. |

So BoZo Johnson would admit he's capitulated again?
Looking for the reason why your relative is struggling to get medication ( hope they stay well btw ) then take it up with Frost, he negotiated the deal.

Have these ships been granted the fishing permits without producing the information that was originally requested? |

If memory serves the applications were accompanied by sufficient information first time round, but post application the rules may have changed.
Happy to be proved wrong. |

I don't understand then how you make that the UK government folding. As far as I recall around 98% of the licenses were granted quickly long before the dispute started. The reason was that around 98% of the ship's submitted the paperwork and required evidence set out in the rules agreed by UK and EU. The remaining 2% did not submit the required evidence but still wanted the permits and said they cannot provide such details. So if the permits were granted without the required information then yes UK folding. If however the information has now been provided then it's the French folding. Maybe a compromise was reached to save face for both sides but so far not seen that |

I was reading somewhere that some of the applications were from new fishing boats that replaced older ones that could not provide the records of previous fishing in uk waters.
Maybe they took it for granted that they would automatically be given the licence for uk waters.
But as always I could be wrong |

Maybe he would maybe he wouldn't, i don't see why they would suddenly capitulate on it after all this time without something else changing my opinion. Not looking for a reason with regards to the drugs, both me and my relative are very aware what is stopping them getting what they need to have some form of quality life in the little time they have left, and I doubt frost or any if his EU counterparts give a monkeys about people who are suffering whilst they act like children. |
