BBC News - Covid: Omicron hospital admissions could reach 1,000 a day
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-59581234
Surely this is just a headline to divert attention from Gov't woes?
I doubt very much if the NHS could cope if this transpired. There are not enough nurses, doctors or indeed hospital beds!
Scaremongering! |

It is hard to actually comprehend 1000 hospitalisations far less 4000!
I sincerely hope that it goes nowhere near any of those figures.
Obviously, there must be enough beds etc. as if they managed before without breaking the system, they will manage again! |

But it's not like they've all had a nice long holiday between then and now. So I'm not sure the people (it's people, not a system) have quite the same capacity or resilience.

"But doesn't most of the data from South Africa and the other countries it has been in say that it hasn't ended in hospitalisation because it is mild?
"
Yes. And as it mutates to become more spreadable, it becomes less dangerous |
