I've seen 5 year old children give more believable tears than I saw on TV today.

We can all fake a sniffy nose, I saw NO TEARS other than someone upset she's had to give up her precious cushdy job.

Good Riddance and hope she goes to the police to give evidence and dies the right thing.

Don't see why the one that "left the party early" has be the one thrown under the bus..

BoZo Johnson doesn't have a good records on appointment of people to senior jobs

The entire cabinet, a talent free zone entirely filled with back stabbers and genuinely nasty pieces of work

Cummings, a man employed to be very good at creating new policies ends up taking the piss, driving to Barnard castle and loathing BoZo

Allegra Stratton, thinks it's ok to openly laugh at the government taking the piss out of the public.

If this was football he'd be getting the chairmans full backing and sacked in the morning.

This surely destroys the government line that no parties took place. If no parties took place, why would she have had to resign for laughing and joking about something that didn't happen?

Completely agree, she's only crying because she got found out.

Putting sausages to one side, bottom line being - do we still trust these clowns to be honest and truthful with us?

I never trusted them.

I think the question is: do people who used to trust them still trust them?

I was working 'under' Boris when he was mayor, never trusted him then and since..

Tbh anyone who did trust him, be that brexit or levelling up etc has been duped and in time they will realise it even if they never openly accept it..

I don't know why anybody does trust him. A cursory glance at his history shows he's a serial liar with no morals whatsoever who will happily throw anybody under the bus the moment it suits him.

It's not the humour that is the problem for me. I have seen dark humour in A&E another emergency workers, as it is coping mechanism.

It is the lies, cover ups and the what the humour is aimed at that is unforgivable. Making jokes of a Fictional Party knowing what happened was wrong.

Credibility is the question, and from where I am stood today, it is ZERO.

I wasn't the spunk stained dress that downed Clinton, it was the "I have never had relations with that woman" lies, that finished him.

Did Allegra Stratton actually not attend the party?

She was filmed, in the never used, very expensive press room, trying to find a way to defend the indefensible.

She couldn't. It was not intended for external publication.

It wasn't her responsibility to approve the party.

Thrown under the bus, I think.

I am ambivalent, but inclined to think that she should not have to resign, particularly when compared to how members of the Cabinet and the Prime Minister have behaved over several years.

If not present at the party, she is guilty of knowing and allowing it to happen by the comments in the audio. She should have called the police as many other neighbours have done on illegal house parties at the time.

If she did, and looks like she knew about it then she is as guilty of lying as anyone else regardless of being there if not.

Not sure what the Daily Mail are hankering at today by claiming, "another woman takes the fall". Its got nothing to do with her gender, male or female in the same position, should be the same outcome.

She's hid the truth (if it did happen) and anyone else not being straight and honest should fall on the sword too.

Was Mr Gove there? He likes his raving parties.

Then there are many more people "guilty" both in Downing Street and countless locations around the country.

She does not set policy. She explains it. Nobody asked about a party at No 10, because why would they, until now?
