It was pathetic, but to be expected, as predicted he tried to deflect by waffling on about the vaccine then blaming labour for something irrelevant. The man is a disgrace

Completely as expected from Johnson. Blundering, contradictory and useless.

He apologises for parties that may or may not have happened. He accepts responsibility without doing anything to actually accept responsibility. And he continues to lie, even now.

There were also hints he's gonna throw some people under the bus to take pressure off him if need be. But that's his usual MO.

The 1 interesting bit I haven't seen mentioned is that Starmer got him to agree to bring the police into this...

Although, I don't condone this and they shouldn't have done so.

Everyone issued with £10,000 fines at the time including over subscribed weddings and funerals (a funeral director was fined £10k) should now be appealing to the Courts for a refund as there are clauses in our legal system in that EVERYONE has the right to be treated equally and fairly..

If there is imbalance then there are grounds to defend or reject.

"No 10 would not say whether Simon Case, the cabinet secretary asked to investigate the party, attended himself."

If that chap was at the Xmas party, it'll certainly make it easier to investigate the issue. He can simply question himself. Job done, eh?

Yes, but.....

No. 10 Downing Street is his residence. If he has no control or authority as to what is going on in his own home, what authority and control does he have over his own Government and the country at large?

How can he possibly say with any sort of credibility that he did know what was going on in his own home?

Aw bless there are people who seem to really think the PM had no idea there were parties (plural) happening in Downing St and the Cabinet Office! Quite charming in a way how naive some people are! Those buildings are a rabbit warren but I can tell you categorically that HE KNEW and his SpAds knew and the Civil Servants working there knew and the Caterers knew.
