"No there is a reason there is so many jobs available at the moment and it's not covid deaths. I agree lots of employment available at the moment but why is unemployment at the levels we have? " I'm not sure about that one maybe people don't want to train to do the jobs available.

"No there is a reason there is so many jobs available at the moment and it's not covid deaths." So many jobs….and no one trained or qualified to do them. Sounds fabulous

"Wouldn’t change it. The next thing we need to change is giving people free houses that get in to the country. Deal with our own homeless first. " All homeless people were taken off the street during the early stages of the Pandemic. It's possible to end it now or have ended it during the pandemic. But they are choosing not to. I'm happy that Britain takes in refugees. We take a tiny proportion of them compared to our neighbours, so if anything we take less than we should. Especially as we export all the weapons that are used to bomb these poor people.
"No. I voted remain and literally every thing we said would happen is happening. Maybe a little slower than predicted but it's happened or is happening ." Exactly this. Project fear was always going to be project reality
"No. I voted remain and literally every thing we said would happen is happening. Maybe a little slower than predicted but it's happened or is happening ." Lucky for us Covid slowed its impact. However there has been an unexpected upside to leaving. We were able to sort out roll out of Covid19 vaccination without EU intervention enabling us to be more effective than the EU bloc

Did we bomb them recently? List goes on. It's the freebies they are coming for I know some they told me why they came, not because of war, because there friends told them what they can get for free. Brand new apartments, free money, schools, healthcare and bills paid. They even said they hate this country its sh-t. But because of these freebies they will stay.

You can't make an omelette without breaking eggs and we have an incredible opportunity to make changes for the better. Analyse properly and do what is needed. Brexit has made this possible. My fear is that our friends in Westminster will fuck the opportunity and make things worse.

"No there is a reason there is so many jobs available at the moment and it's not covid deaths. So many jobs….and no one trained or qualified to do them. Lots of countries went their own way on vaccines who are in the EU.
"Africa and Vietnam, those historic members of the EU." This. Loving the idea of Africa as a country and then a completely anonymous anecdote that is completely true. If you have no right to be here you have no recourse to public funds and are told to get on with it and not given a house, benefits, whatever.

"If the vote was rerun would you vote differently?" I'm sure this has been asked a few times on here already. Anyway no I would not vote differently

"Wouldn’t change it. The next thing we need to change is giving people free houses that get in to the country. Deal with our own homeless first. " This is the answer really. People are just as confused about it as ever. The government and right wing media is extremely good at pointing the finger at "them over there coming over 'ere causing all the problems" etc. Just look at this example of some of the total bollocks that some people believe.
"With the Crimea looking likely to be the next East west flash point where does this leave the Uk if there is EU military response?" There is no "EU military".

"Wouldn’t change it. The next thing we need to change is giving people free houses that get in to the country. Deal with our own homeless first. WOW!!!! " Although not everyone is as loony as this. It's a good example of what the 18% of people think. Those who still think brexit is a good idea. 18% of people still think it's a good idea. Let that sink in for moment. That's a huge number of people, millions, still believing in the dream. Utterly bizarre.

"maybe people who voted to leave could see this coming. the coalition agreement in Germany included proposals for the “evolution of the EU towards a European federal state”. The new German Government is a so-called ‘traffic-light’ coalition between the Social Democrats (SPD), the Greens, and the liberal FDP. The surprise backing for more EU integration and power for Brussels comes just weeks before France is taking over the rotating EU Council presidency in January." Sorry what does any of this have to do with anything? A German coalition can say what it wants. If every other member thinks is bollox it doesn't mean anything. And how does a rotating leadership link in with this?

Yeah absolutely. People like Rees Mogg made 100s of millions shorting the pound. And a few others get to avoid taxes off shore, brexit is a huge success. But for everyone else who are effected by the economy being impacted by brexit, still thinking it's a good idea. It's absolutely amazing!

However, it will ultimately drive inflation as products become more expensive and that will wipe out the benefit of the bigger salary. Combine that with trade deals that permit imports to undercut the cost of British products (NZ trade deal for example) and those British industries will be forced to reduce their costs to compete (product quality and wages being first targets). It’s a vicious circle but with the driver for Brexit being a “global Britain” (whatever that means) then be prepared to compete with much cheaper overseas labour.

"The full effects of Brexit are yet to be felt but as sure as night follows day they will come. If, as predicted by the Governments own OBR the economic effects of Brexit will be twice as bad as the Covid pandemic then we can look forward to tax rises in the coming years, just to pay for it. By the time, the snake oil salesmen, liars and charlatans who sold the illusion will have long left the room leaving everyone else to deal with the consequences." And people are still saying that brexit is a good idea! Haha. Amazing. That will only get funnier and funnier. "It's just a flesh wound"! Lol.

The more intelligent Brexit voters now realise it’s a shit show but unfortunately won’t admit it so we are hearing things like ‘I only cared about leaving the EU, the consequences aren’t important ’ ‘The EU will no longer exist soon’ ‘I always knew it would take 10-20 years to see any benefits, Etc etc

"“I still belive its a much too complicated subject in the first place for most normal people and it should never of really been upto us” About the most sensible BREXIT observation I’ve read! When I was living and working in Syria a congenital heart condition manifested itself in my infant son and he had to be Medevaced out (a story in itself, the hoops that had to be gone through to get an air ambulance with two pilots and two doctors into Damascus) and by the time he arrived at the hospital in Aachen it was established that his heart had two VSDs (“holes in the heart”) and was twice normal size. Germany’s top specialist, Prof. von Bernuth - I think the clinic was named after his father - thought that if the heart’s size could be quickly reduced with drugs the holes would shrink and one might even disappear altogether. His chief surgeon, on the other hand, reckoned the heart wouldn’t return to normal size without at least one of the holes being stitched up. This discussion went on for days, with my son being kept alive only by life support. So, two of the most intelligent and experienced medical specialists in Europe had differing views of the way forward (by the way, “Cut-em-open-Joe”, as we came to call him, lost the battle), and the missus and I were mere bystanders at their daily discussions. But the only thing these professionals DIDN’T do, was to send voting slips to all the patients in A&E, maternity wards etc. (why not the cleaners and gardeners while we’re at it?) and base their decision on what 51% of anybody who bothered to reply might say. But isn’t that exactly what happened with the Referendum?" well i hope it all worked out well for son but fail to see any relevance to the brexit vote its was hardly life or death although some remainers would have you believe it was.

"Yes we all need clever people to tell us what we should do, that's what most dictators say " Nah i didnt mean it like that More that this is just a complicated subject i dont think many people would of had the time or even will to go through it all to figure out what the "best" decision would of been tbh. "I doubt many have changed their position on Brexit, as votes were not based on reason, evidence or facts, just emotion. I, for one, certainly wasn't qualified to answer the question, as it was asked. I did however have some sense that the chief protagonists were no where near capable of fulfilling the promises made during the campaign - that much should have been obvious to all. Still, there was a nice upshot: Brexit was less about leaving the EU and more about consolidating conservative power. I didn't vote for Brexit , but as a centre-right voter, the solidification of conservatism is a welcome upshot. Unfortunately, we're back to the original problem - our current leaders are buffoons and have made a complete mess of Brexit (which I would like now to be a success). Only once we rid this country of the elective dictatorship that is our Parliamentary system, will we the people taste a modicum of freedom, until then, we will continue to live and die at the whim of others. M" And that is one of the main reasons why I voted out. Obviously, both campaigns were a complete joke and probably 95% voted in both directions with blinkers on. They didn't have a clue what they were voting for. Please - no comments saying you did. We already had one set of clowns running the EU in addition to the clowns in Westminster. We have now got rid of the first set (hopefully). In order to get a true democracy (and I appreciate that this is a forward looking dream), we now need to reform Parliament. There is a glimmer of hope that reform can happen but it would have been impossible whilst we were in the EU. Simply slagging people off on here is a worthless exercise. We are out and it is time to move on. Power to the People!!!

M And that is one of the main reasons why I voted out. Power to the People!!! it will never happen they get a buzz out of slagging people of about brexit but I bet they don’t slag there family and friends off who voted out lol" Only one in my family voted out and absolutely take the piss. Why not. Voting leave was ridiculous. And thinking brexit is still a good idea is even more ridiculous.

"“But you can still live in the EU if you want lol. Youre not barred from the EU” You can’t: UK citizens can enter for 90 days only in any 6-month period (and your nice blue passport is now stamped on the way in and on the way out just to remind you). Any longer than that, without a Carte de Séjour for France or the equivalent for any other Member State, and you WILL be “barred from the EU”. “Thats like saying we cant live in America if we wanted to” You can’t full stop." So that stops you from obtaining the right to live there does it like any other country. You cant just turn up in Australia and America and live there. You just have to follow the same immigration policy as everyone else Or do you think you have the right to just go and live in another country if you want to?

"If the vote was rerun would you vote differently?" I don’t think there has been anywhere near enough ‘pain’ yet from the Brexit fallout to alter the balance - and the demographics have not quite shifted either. The pandemic and the waves of cash thrown at furlough have softened the post Brexit fallout somewhat. Combined with a lot of ‘foreigners’ going home that had placed a lot of pressure on many staffing levels at both ends of the skills spectrum. So no I don’t think the result would be markedly different.

"No there is a reason there is so many jobs available at the moment and it's not covid deaths. So many jobs….and no one trained or qualified to do them. Sounds fabulous good to have the vaccancies so when people are trained there is opportunities for them, I drive machinery for a living and the lack of drivers has made the wages go up meaning I earn more because we aren't getting undercut by agency's offering very low paid foreign workers basicly been exploited Short term the unfilled vacancies will drive wage growth which is good. M And that is one of the main reasons why I voted out. " Please explain in what way Parliamentary reform could not be possible in the UK whilst in the EU? Would they have prevented PMs from being bought through revolving door advisory roles and lobbyists? Would the EU have prevented proportional representation from being introduced? Would the EU Have prevented reform of the Lords? Please explain. As a 5%er then I’m keen to know what what aspect of sovereignty we have regained in this regard. I’ll read it once I’ve recovered from the fit of giggling

" You are dead right It's a pity others can't have foreseen that.
There was absolutely nothing stopping us changing our constition while in the EU. That is absolute rubbish. Think of the referendum, or whatever it was, about proportional representation, that the Tories skewered, and the Lib Dems were too naive to properly argue for. M And that is one of the main reasons why I voted out. "

"If the vote was rerun would you vote differently?" The opinion polls suggest those who voted for a Brexitory exit would vote to stay. But, as they are increasingly aware now, they were as gaslit by the Tories as well as the Bregzit brigade, so admitting it in public, is a totally different matter to responding to an anonymous opinion poll..
"When people say 'move on' what they mean is 'do not examine my decision, I can now see it is a shit show but don't want to talk about it or admit I was wrong. What I want is for you to now come up with the solution to my poor decision.'"
