It comes as 2 more companies, avro energy and green go bust amid warning more to come, the reason is cos gas prices is going up.
It means 1.5 million people are now facing a switch to a new, more expensive firm.
All affected customers will continue to receive energy while a new supplier is appointed by regulator ofgem. Its price cap limits how much firms can charge.
Ofgems boss earlier warned the rise in gas prices was "unprecedented".
How come the prices are going up for the gas and how will this end as more and more companies cant make it? |

The Government imposed price cap means that companies are legally obliged to sell to customers at a loss, so no real surprise that so many smaller suppliers are failing, as they don't have deep enough pockets to ride this out |

I doubt the surviving companies are happy they are having these large number of loss making customers dumped upon them. The price cap mechanism isn’t fit for purpose. We are all going to be paying a lot more for our energy needs. |
