They can if they wanted to.
They have hypersonic missles that have the range to hit the UK and western Europe from Blackjacks while never having to leave their airspace.
While we (Nato) would have an extremely hard time entering Russian Airspace without heavy losses to our air power because of SAM's like the S350, S400 and S500's (tbf the last is more for cruise missle interception)
Russia also have some the best air radar in existence. They have the ability to tell when planes leave our own runways let alone getting actually close to russia |
