The return of Donald Trump

Jump to: Newest in thread

By (user no longer on site) OP     over a year ago

So word on the street is mr Donald Trump is preparing to run for presidency for the 3rd time. Personally I don't think he has a chance. Why? Because like Brexit, the people have seen what a fiasco is was to have him in office previously. Honestly did he really care about 'make America great'? Or was it all about him and his family? I mean at the height of the Pandemic he was more concerned about his image than the impact and repercussions of Covid both nationally and internationally. Irrespective of weather you're a Republican or Democrat you couldn't deny what was happening. Could you? I mean when something is white it's white and when it's green it's clearly green. However mr Trump is a man who would argue likewise just because he's always right even when he knows he's awfully wrong.

I thought he was quite funny and miss his tweets in the news. He’s definitely funnier than Boris, but I’m biased and only really interested in the comedy factor of politics

To be honest, the word on the street in the US is not always the word you get published in the UK media. Trump is still very popular and many people seem to want him back - not for him as a person but so many already dislike Biden that much. If he stepped down and let Kamala in, it would be a far more interesting contest.

Hey, OP I liked your posts until this one - I was blissfully enjoying not hearing about this man in the news/ media etc anymore and then you came along and started it!

Only joking - fire away.

(I was serious about being happy not to hear about DT anymore though - that part was true!)

Yes, the gulf between media reports in the UK and US media always surprises me.

He still has an astonishingly good level of support on the ground - the election wasn't exactly a landslide for Biden.

Just remember 75m people voted for that lunatic and that’s after 4 years screwing up the country and the world whenever the chance arose. Also, this is the country that re-elected George Bush and that seemed bad enough at the time!

Biden won Pennsylvania. Yet people voted recently to restrict our governor on republican side of the vote. I think my state is realizing a mistake. I hear it everyday.

He’s loved by his supporters and the Republicans are still bending the knee at Mar a Largo. The reason 75 million votes.

He’s not the brightest and very ignorant but I fear someone, who one day comes along, with the same agenda but this time has the intelligence and wit to really do some damage. As unfortunately alliances with other Countries, as Trump has proven, can be so easily shaken by one dangerous President who’s motivations are purely self serving.

As he took Putins word over his own intelligence agencies in Helsinki, it’s true that World Leaders certainly saw him for what he is. Easily manipulated and a fool, even the fat lad in North Korea got one over him.

I personally don't think he's going to run again. He won't want to risk the humiliation of losing. I think he went for it because he loves the attention but I don't believe he expected to win.

He didn't want the job to do good for his country. He's getting on in years not in great health, and he really just wants to play golf. If he intended to run he would have said so, but he's still clearly only testing the waters.

Sadly there are a huge number of people who would still vote for him but I think 6th January has woken a lot of people up to him. . I don't agree that he doesn't have a chance. The Republican nomination is his for the taking at the moment. He could win again but I just can't see him running. Luke

If he gets the nod from Trump it’s a certainty he’ll get the nomination. Plus Trump organisation is facing some legal issues this week with Cyrus Vance considering bring criminal charges.

I think he’ll drop out but attend a lot of rallies as he loves the attention he gets.

The established political class hated him. That inluded the majority of the media we are all exposed to that conspired to create and continue the narrative that he was racist, bigot ect. It was all a lie we were all fed. He created world stabilty ignoring the established military industrial complex, which was another reason they hated him as they want endless wars and endless conflict. He didnt. Under Biden, there will be more war, and more conflict.

Do you mean when he launched rocket attack on the most powerful regime in the middle east?

Or when he made tensions in the west bank even worse?

I am not a "polarised" woman, I allow shades of grey between the black and white extremes of opinion. As such I allow even a Trump supporter that privilege of having an opinion.

True when I said you need F 15s and Nukes to take on the federal government. Did he forget Jan 6th ? Is he willing to drop a nuke on American soil? Lol he just as a big baffoon."

Agreed. He is a very dangerous idiot.

One last point for you before I toddle off for a wank. If it's facts you're so precious about, then find your facts from other sources. Widen the scope. Then you'll find perhaps the world isn't quite the place you thought it was. Maybe, just maybe, the veil may lift a litle and you may find the world has been lying to you. If your cognitive dissonance will allow it. Good luck.

"Like it or hate it. The world was at peace when he was in power. Thats indisputable. Now we have all kinds of shenanigans which is irksome

I think some people just live in la la land.

Facts not feelings.

That makes no sense

It means you present no evidence, but instead are using your feelings to illustrate a point.

I've just provided you with evidence

Does shooting immigrants in the back make the world a safer place?

Splitting children from their parents, inciting hatred and violent behaviour during rallies - what more evidence could one need?"

Well, where do I start. As you well know Aphrodite I run the entire Wales business operations of North West England's answer to Donald Trump. My day was coming to a conclusion of trying to inject another dose of sanity into in my world of eccentric and irrationality on the highest level which I couldn't make up, or write into a situation comedy. So I thought I'll log on to fab, and see what amusement there is to be seen there on fab forum posts. When I saw this debate with your input, I roared laughing as I thought about our in depth conversations where we both have opposite views, but still like each other, and have the utmost respect for each other.

I don't think that you would need to be Einstein to work out where my loyalties lie, but whether it's Donald, or others like him including Boris, dictators from history, and the fella I've just put the phone down on, what cannot be overlooked is that it's their single mindedness, and ambition doing things their way, or no way, shoot first, and ask questions later, and actually getting on with job their way, please or offend, that has put them in the elevated positions that they are in today, and carving a lifestyle for themselves during their allotted life span that most can only dream of. Such rare individuals, with that strength of character will always have a following, it will simply be a case of how that charisma works for them on the day that will determine whether they stay in the limelight or not. I'm rather looking forward to the next round of American elections, which I don't think will be complete without good old Donald taking a stand. Agree or disagree, listening to you making point Aphrodite is always a breath of fresh air.

One thing Trump presidency has shown is how corrupt big tech and MSM are. I’m not a Trump fan but what I do see is how fixed the cards are if you’re not part of theIr plan.

The fact that they threw everything at him and still haven’t got anything to stick shows how utterly incompetent they are or how Trump is on the right path.

Imagine if they’d thrown the same amount of scrutiny at Biden..... Christ look how big tech and MSM buried Hunter Biden laptop story. Could the Biden family be any more compromised.... imagine if it was Trump’s son laptop.... that hypocrisy/censorship in itself must tell you something isn’t right.

From what I can gather before Covid America was on its best footing for a long while. I watched the election live and for all those postal votes to come in at the last min in those swing states.... just doesn’t ring true to me.

Biden hasn’t trashed anyone since cornpop, aside from trashing the intelligence of minorities each time he strays off the provided cue cards and speaks his mind.

The liberal media and those who wish to empower the evil in the world rallied against Trump because he offended them. I personally don’t want him back, but his actions against the shittiest countries, movements and initiatives in the world I have no problem with.

Trumps completely dismal performance as president, his over 20,000 confirmed lies and misleading statements, his over 215 confirmed indictments and still counting against the cronies he hired for his campaign and for government positions, his public racist statements and white supremacy sympathy, his blatant disregard for the democratic rule of law and dictator attitude, his Psychopathic Behavioral Characteristics, ect...ect... .

Biden's a joke. Trump was a much bigger more dangerous joke. That's all you need to know.

It should be clear to all the only one with a narrative here is you!

"The established political class hated him.

Funny how you talk about the media but not the things Trump has said and done himself. Words out of his own moth that where racist and bigoted among many other things.

I'd laugh at the irony of this post but you are obviously serious.

But this is why I love the forums. It's such a good filter.

Arw you kidding?? Have you seen what Biden has said?? You wont have unless you look for it because it doesnt fit the narrative. But that's your call.

Your response makes no sense. I mean it's articulate. But it makes no sense. I also assume judging by your words, that you, also havnt seen what Biden has said. Otherwise you wouldn't have responded with such illogical nonsense. Who said this ? "“Poor kids” just as bright as “white kids" or this..." Put y’all back in chains” or this ..."Obama is "the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean”? Because for all his faults, it wasn't trump.

"One thing Trump presidency has shown is how corrupt big tech and MSM are.

The worrying thing is the U.K. is usually just behind the states so if they can get away with it there chances are it’s going to happen here. Tbh I think if already is

Wasnt trump very close to Murdoch?

Everyone is close to Murdoch.

No they arent.

Dude. You have no idea how far his tenticles reach. Fox is only one of his outlets if thats what you're referring to. Every western politician needs Murdoch and actively seeks approval from newscorp. "

A) The only Murdoch outlet pro trump was Fox.

B) not bessies. Not even close dude.

And what happened with his laptop just before the election? Amd what big tech did to silence and supress news about it?

Twitter: banned the New York Post story they broke about Hunter Biden. And then anyone who mentioned it. They finally relented AFTER the election. Twitter: they flagged his posts as posts as potentially misleading without any evidence. Twitter: used dubiois fact checkers linked to trumps oppostion. Twitter: banned anyone with views they didn't like or who put trump in a remotely positive light. Such as project veritas or Judicial Watch. Removed posts at the direction of the democatats in the run up to the elections. This came out only today. The list goes on. And they all worked in direct conjunction with FB and Google.

Trump had the perfect message for us. Basically it was a fuck all we going to do what is in our national interest. Kudos. The media portrays him as a villian. Desantis is the norm. He has the fortitude to see Trump's message of America first. Nothing wrong with carrying that message. Desantis is more bulletproof.

Trump interests was to himself like most right wing populist politicians.

The trick is convincing enough people he actually puts the country 1st.

How anyone can actually believe that after the Capitol shenanigans is beyond me.

He would have burnt the country down to get another 4 years.

His supporters are convinced he can do it again, thats half the battle, the other half is getting the donors to pour money into his campaign.

Once that is done 2024 may be his 2nd term.

"To be honest, the word on the street in the US is not always the word you get published in the UK media. Trump is still very popular and many people seem to want him back - not for him as a person but so many already dislike Biden that much. If he stepped down and let Kamala in, it would be a far more interesting contest.

Yes, the gulf between media reports in the UK and US media always surprises me.

He still has an astonishingly good level of support on the ground - the election wasn't exactly a landslide for Biden."

I think Biden had the same college votes as trump when he won, no?

https://www.cnn.com/2021/07/01/politics/voting-rights-act-supreme-court-ruling/index.html

Thanks scotus

Arizona voting right act is going to come back to bite republicans on the ass as actually about 75% of all people who vote there do so by mail in… and they have the systems down pat….

This will end up eating into your own vote …

It’s not as innately as racially targeted as the Georgia or Texas voting rights bills…. Arizona republicans are a different breed of crazy!

And since you threw that in, let me lob one back did you see the federal courts have blocked Florida from enacting the social media law…..

I seen the injunction. It's just a process it will end up in scotus laps eventually.

Like the voter fraud allegations?

Umm no Clarence Thomas is eager to discuss social media. More then likely it will head to scotus."

‘More than likely ‘

Belpre

CSPAM has him ranked as the 4th worst president, and the Congressional Historians ranked him as the worst.

What a legacy in history lol !

Desantis is to much of a trump butt kisser and trump minded to make a good president. It would be like voting in another Hitler minded fool to run the country again.

The republican party needs to endorse someone that's for the people, all the people, of every race, and every gender, someone that will raise people out of poverty, someone that will change policing to actually serve and protect everyone, regardless of race and gender, someone that will follow the constitutional rules of law in

government, someone that wont use the Department of Justice as their own police force, someone that actually honors our military not pretend to honor just who follows their views, someone that will make it easier for everyone to vote not harder, someone that isn't for big

business interests and the wealthy, someone that will raise corporate tax rates and taxes on the wealthy to help raise people out of poverty, someone thats out to protect our environment

and prepare for the future troubles of climate

change that are coming, someone that's not

out to destroy our democracy and rule in a autocracy as trump was trying to do in

every way he possibly could. Oh, wait just a minute, that means the republican party would have to endorse a democrat to do what was right for the people and the nation. Well, the republican party of trump isn't smart enough to do the correct things for the people and the nation, they are only worried about their own political careers, and will cheat and lie through their teeth to benefit themselves, they have no interest in doing the correct things to lift the nation as a whole.

It's a travesty that many of the republican party has let themselves be fooled to the point that they would fall to their knees to worship and kiss the ass of that psychopath trump, they've lost all

the honor they may have once had. It will definitely come back to bite them in the ass hard, which will most likely be to the benefit of the people and the nation in the long run anyway.

It's an inevitable fact, for any democratic nation, or democratic republic to survive and progress, it has to become more liberal leaning because of the diversity of the people, otherwise it will not survive as a democratic nation or democratic republic, it will become an autocracy, and the people will only have the right to follow the

wishes of their ruler, or leave the country if they possibly can.

You either follow the right politicians that try to protect your democracy, and that try to make things better for the people as a whole, whether you are a republican or democrat, or you follow the wrong type of politicians like trump and his political ass kissers and lose your democracy to autocracy ! You see these trump like politician nuts on a daily basis if you turn on the tv.

Thats the only choice you have, so choose wisely, for your children and grandchildrens sake, because they will be the ones that truly suffer if

you choose unwisely !

Desantis .... He against the norm and forged path that people can follow. Is he right in his assessment? I would say yes he is. Unless you can prove otherwise.

Central

The leader of the US is critical to the state of the world.

As you can see from the record breaking heatwave in Canada and the US this week, the climate emergency is already having major impacts on current life.

Putting a dangerous puppet in to power, wasting more years of when we could be tackling the biggest problem in the world, is myopic and stupid.

We wasted those years of his presidency, making it much, much harder to get corrections under way. He makes no apology for squandered time and lost opportunities. He's just in it for himself, not his country and certainly not the world and all citizens. He belongs in the past.

is it a climate emergency ? Same things had happened in the past before the industrial revolution.
