In a fit of flagrant political analysis I'd say:
The number 10 kleptocracy has decided to
- back hancock's corruption and cock ups publicly, as they're all in it to the neck themselves
- release the news hounds on his private cock ups (cock ins?)
As it's the traditional way to shame a tory minister into spending more time with ths family.
Can he be shamed into going though, in the current environment? |

Yep - this isn't the final nail it's the execution. Recent scrutiny has tipped his utility/liability the wrong way.
The Sun isnt an investigative journalism outfit, it's a broadcast outlet to the tory mob, and is tightly leashed by murdoch. Note it wasn't the mirror (or the guardian!) that broke this - a demographic has been fed a story.
Someone wants hancock gone and has either stopped protecting him or has slipped the "exit brief" material out. |

They are taken from security cameras in his office
In Whitehall .

OK. I think after this Hancock's career is toast (probably sooner than you think) but Tory sleaze? Get off it.
This kind of so called sleaze is a cross party phenomenon.
Blunkett? Prescot? To name just two from Labour. Paddy pantsdown anyone? And not forgetting the other Limp Dim who was shagging his advisor while swapping driving licenses.
Whether it's blue, red, or yellow, politicians have affairs, always have and always will. |
